In this video you’re going to learn how to make an about me text widget to appear on every post and page.

Why would you want an about me widget?

People buy stuff from people they know, like and trust.

Your about me widget is a great way to introduce yourself to your audience so they can get to know you, like you and trust you.

Let’s get started

Create a new post, give it a title and save it as a Draft.

Type in your about me paragraph this can be anything you want it to be but keep it short and sweet.

Click into the beginning of the paragraph, Insert Media and pop in your photo.

Format the image and text the way you want it to appear the Save Draft again.

Open the Text tab and use Ctrl+A to select all the text. Use Ctrl+C to copy all the text.

Go to Appearance > Widgets and create a new text widget.

Use Ctrl+V to paste the text into the text widget.

Give the widget a title or you can skip this step if you prefer.

Position the widget where you want it to appear.

Now visit your website in a new tab.

If you’re not happy with the placement of the widget then go back to your dashboard and drag and drop the widgets to suit.

Now you know how to put an about me widget on your website.
