How Much Have You Learned?

Since you started your blog, you've likely learned a lot. You probably had limited knowledge of blogging when you got started. Gradually, you will discover what works and what doesn’t.

You can enroll in courses to improve your blog and learn new skills. These courses have proven to be very useful for bloggers. I have been able to revive old posts on my blog and get more page views for the content I've written over the years.

Are you looking for ways to make your blog more useful?

If you find yourself cringing at the early content, it is possible to correct some posts for SEO, grammar, and new information.

Here are 9 signs to make sure you update any old blog posts if it has been a while.

1. Your Blog Isn’t Getting Organic Traffic Anymore

Most new bloggers don’t have the knowledge or ability to write SEO-friendly blog posts. Google Analytics can help you determine if your first blog posts are getting any traffic from Google. If your posts aren't appearing in search engines, then you need to conduct keyword research while updating them.

Pro bloggers have a lot of great SEO tools that can help them understand which keywords they need to include in their blog posts. They also show you how to use these keywords within your content to make it easier for people to find your blogs via Google.

2. Your Blog Posts are Too Short

Longer posts rank higher in search engines than shorter posts. If your blog posts have less than 1000 words, it is a good idea for you to look at ways to improve them. Consider what additional information you already know about the topic. Do you have any additional information that could be added to the post?

Keyword research can help you find more questions to answer in your content. You might also like to take a look through other posts about the same topic. Is there something you haven't seen?

Make sure you publish posts that exceed 1000 words.

Hi there,

Thanks do all these great tips! I am currently in the process of optimising all of my old posts, images and all. This is interesting what you say about vertical images because all of mine are landscape. Do I need to have a special plugin or something for my vertical pins to be pinable? Or, is it just automatic?

Thanks
