One of the biggest struggles for a "content marketer", or someone that earns money by writing articles on their website, is thinking of what to write about. For a newbie, this task can seem impossible, especially as you are writing your first few pieces of content.

On top fo that, even if you know what you want to write about, you'll often wonder if it's worth your time, of if you'll be spending your time writing something no one will ever read.

I find that whenever I stress about stuff, I like to organize a schedule, a template, or some kind of format to follow so that I don't have to think too much about what I'm doing.

Just get the work done!

In this training, I'm going to present 8 basic article format styles that you can use on any website, with any topic.

Many of them are targeted at low-competition keywords, so they will be easy to rank. Some do not even have to target specific keywords, and can still rank for lots of unintended search phrases.

The goal of this training is to give you a couple formats to follow so you can think less about "how" to write content for your website, and focus more on creating quality, interesting articles that people want to read.

8 Article Styles

  1. Reviews
  2. Comparison
  3. Question & Answer
  4. Tutorials & How To's
  5. Roundups
  6. Top 10 Lists
  7. Trending Topics
  8. A to Z Explainer

Nathaniell, this is such a good article, honestly! I came across it this morning, didn't have time to read through it but at a first glance, it already felt really well done. Was reading throughout the entire day today while at work, and now getting great ideas as I'm writing up another article this evening! Thanks a bunch - I've learned so much from you in the past too - haha, just haven't been vocal about it! :)

Wow, thank you for sharing nathaniell! So helpful, but I do have a question. In the link you posted that's titled "Don't Waste Time With These Keywords". You gave some examples of keywords not to use and you also said they can only be used pretty much one time. What if you did something like this though "How to Train Your Dog Part 4". Would that work or would that still be in competition with your other content?

Anything pt 1, pt 2, etc with the same title will not rank for the same keyword multiple times. I'd make the title something unique and rank-worth (targeted), then have pt1/pt2/etc as a subheading within the text.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I had done that before in regards to using the same keyword for different posts and putting part 1 and 2 in it. I will now avoid that in the future.

Thanks Nathaniel great info and now there’s no excuse to ever get stuck on format ideas for content.
I agree with kimwolfe Canva is a great tool for creating infographics, there are a few others available too. Most have a free trial so you can try them out to see which suit you best.

Thank you for your post but tell me do I have to review products only that pertain to my neich?

You should only review products related to your niche- if you have reviews of random things on your site then it would make no sense on your website
