3. Provide Your Audience with Content That Satisfies Their Appetites
Provide your audience regularly with the content that solves their problems. You can possibly try using the questions below to measure every piece you write:
- Will they enjoy reading this? Will they really like it?
- Will they grab my writing stuff?
- Am I communicating directly with my readers? Does it satisfy their appetites?
- Will the content help solve their problems? Will readers learn something completely new from it?
- Am I using updated illustrations, references, or facts in my write-ups?
The level of your success in blogging is directly proportional to how much you’re constantly considering the needs of your readers, therefore making it necessary to learn more about them. Figure out where they usually hang out and always choose the topics they care to read.
Here are a couple of ways to figure out what your audience wants:
- Ask: Using your website or social media networks, you can create polls that constantly ask your readers directly what they would like to learn more about or read next.
- Use Google Webmaster and Analytics: Using Google Webmaster and Analytics, find a good number of commonly-searched keywords, queries or sentences that are related to your specialty to tailor your next publication. You can as well leverage Social Mention to analyze the trending keywords, hashtags or fans used by your rivals.
- Read and respond to comments: Since you can utilize surveys or polls, you’ll get a ton of information as much as needed simply by reading and responding to those comments and questions.
- Participate in online communities: Join discussion boards, forums, communities and social channels where most members of your specialty audience do hang out. Through that channel, you can easily find out what your readers are longing to learn more about.
Jot down those things you’ve been able to figure out so far about what your specialty audience wants or needs in your next publication. Using this, you can brainstorm and arrive at a lot of great ideas for your next write-up.

Nice article Israel. These are very good points to find a target audience and be relevant with content. Running a poll to find out what readers want to read more of is a great idea!
