If we tend to be all over the place and trying to be everywhere al the time, it's because we have heard that is was the best way to get traffic.

It depends... For example, big companies have so many employees working on marketing that they can afford being all over the place.

But if a newbie is starting out with the Internet marketing, it'll usually just slowing down the process if he's trying to master all platforms at the same time.
