1 - Create Multiple Income Streams
One of the things that fascinate me most about rivers is the way they flow.
A river can have thousands of smaller rivers pouring into it at any time. These smaller rivers serve as sources to the big one and ensure it never runs dry.
I guess that's why the stream is the best word to describe an income source. A website can function just the same way as the big river.
It is constantly maintained by incoming streams of income from other smaller sources. That's the reason you should factor multiple income streams when planning your website. It shouldn't be an afterthought or something you have to make room for along the way.
Multiple income streams may include promoting different affiliate offers, joining different affiliate networks, and/or selling your own products.
The only real constraint is staying in line with your niche so your audience doesn't get distracted during the design phase – the plan for a robust affiliate website that can easily accommodate multiple income streams.
2 - Stay Relevant, Stay Profitable
People generally have a shorter attention span today than they had 100 years ago.
There is so much information being produced daily that some tend to drown in information overload. In the midst of all this, how do you build a website that remains relevant over time?
The first step is to choose an industry or niche that is relevant to people.
A niche that stays relevant forever are niches like health, fitness, personal development, finance, and making money.
These niches are usually very competitive, but you can carve out a sub-niche for yourself in order to stand out.
The second step to remaining profitable is promoting products that are relevant to your audience.
The combination of a relevant niche and relevant products should usher in the much-desired profitability.
Never stop singing :-)
