Do It Right The First Time. and Reap The Quality of Rewards Later!

In the company that I work for, I was once assigned to Quality Control where we scrutinize the standards of various domains in a cell site. Normally, if things are not acceptable, we fail the vendors who worked on them in the acceptance processes. And most of the reasons why they failed? They didn't do the things right the first time. Thus, they've had to go back and forth, spend more time, money and resources just to fix things that could have been done right the first time they touched it.

I think it's all the same in an online business.

We came here for a reason. For good reasons hopefully.

As we go through the trainings, readings, blogs and messages in the community, we'd be bombarded with so many insights, sometimes, too overwhelming to absorb in a day. And when we create our properties (our sites), we'd tend to sometimes complicate some simple tasks to the extent of not finishing a it. That's for one site alone.

I'd like to share these insights as they may save you some time and stress especially if you're in the process of building your site.

1. Go through the training modules step by step. Each step along the way, do the tasks accordingly. You don't have to jump to another lesson just for compliance purposes. This is a self-paced training and only you can assess if you have to proceed or go back for more learnings.

2. Draw out your 1-2 of your strongest passion/interest. You will build your business based on this/these. You might even find your purpose in life by fully understanding what you can do to others using the gifts/skills that you've had developed over the years.

3. Explore the keyword tool or Jaaxy thoroughly. It is imperative to understand fully what you want to accomplish. Will you give free trainings, reviews or insights about a product that you truly believe in? Do not buy a domain yet.

4. Ask. This is probably the best community online that I've joined thus far. You can ask a general question or you can PM anybody in the community about your thoughts. Make your assessment objectively, not because you just feel like doing it. At the end of the day, it'll be your decision that'll count.

5. Think of branding. Assuming you've already optimized your research on certain keywords, and for example you've found "the best free dog training" keyword (with monthly searches of 50 and a QSR of less than 50), decide on a brand (ex. MyDogsBestFriend). If the domain is available, buy it.

6. Start building your brand, not just your site. As you go through the process of building your site, go back to your keyword "the best free dog training" and populate your All-in-One SEO plugin (or even Yoast). Use the same keyword in your slogan. Make a page about that keyword. Make a professional logo and favicon using a brand. It'll just be in time that Google will index and reward your site with high rankings.

Have I experienced it? No. Not even close. But this is the technical side of things. I'm sure it'll also happen to me when properly done right. And for sure, it'll happen to you too!

7. Create More Contents. This is probably why it's very important to build one site at a time. If you can create at least 50 contents/articles in 6 months, then probably it's time to move on and build your second site (if there's another passion that you'd really like to go out online). But until then, I think it's best to populate your site with quality contents. And by the way, ask this community for comments (but give your comments to the rest as well) as they will definitely bring more interaction to your site.

That's about it. I hope the quality of your site will bring in quality rewards in the near future. After all, it's always safe to assume that your preferred audiences are expecting great values from you.

So do it right the first time...
