Ever wonder why your computer keeps erasing your text as you type?
Something really frustrating happened to me today when creating a content and it took me a while to figure how to go about fixing the problem so I thought I'd blog it here and help someone that might run into same trouble in future.
So I accidentally pressed "INSERT" on my keyboard when typing and this activated the overtype mode.
The effect of this was that my curcor changed from black to blue and whenever I try to edit an already typed text, the previous text get erased - I nearly lost a whole paragraph.
To solve this problem, press the "INSERT" key on your keyboard and hopefully this would solve the issue.
It's that easy but it took me almost 1/2 hour to figure that out - I hope someone won't get stuck with this problem and get helped with this blog.
Thanks for swinging by!.

Ha! Ha! I've done this loads of times because Insert is next to Delete! Doh!
It is a puzzler the frist couple of times it happens, though, so hopefully this will hep a few people who think they hace their very own Pac Man! :-)
Thanks, Tony,
Ian
Normally it is the same ‘delete’ button(generally on the first row on the keyboard) but you need to activate by pressing the function key(FN)
Good question Anne! And Yes Terand was right but could be next to the "DELETE" key on some other keyboards like mine so you won't have to press fn to activate it.
Thanks for the comments guys

Hey Tony,
Thanks for sharing this.
I edited a post with Elementor today and hit a button that changed the lay out of my post from full width to skinny. Only half of it was that way though. I ended up just deleting the post and will rewrite it tomorrow. Can't figure out what I did!
