Communication is irreversible

Hey WA fellas! - My first blog ever - Please leave me comments and I would be talking on communication!!

Communication is irreversible and can be described as a principle of interpersonal interaction whereby when we say or pass an information to another party, we cannot take or retrieve it back, whether it is what we intended to say or not.

We can wish we had not said something and we can regret what we said, and apologize for it later but we cannot take it back because once it is out, it is out.

This simply means we should be very careful and examines well what we say to others before uttering it out as we don’t know how long and how much damage our utterances could cause other people.

Final note folks, when you communicate with someone, know that you cannot turn back time and reverse what you've said just like you not being able to unsqueeze the tube of a toothpaste.

TOMORROW YOU WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THOSE THINGS YOU'VE SAID

Short and sweet - Thanks for reading!!!

Great advice, Tony! Words can be kind or cruel an' the effect of those words can either build people up or tear them down. Making a concerted effort to build others up will benefit everyone, for years to come. We never know when one comment will be remembered... for good or for bad... many years in the future.

Keep moving forward, Tony. You CAN Do It!!!

Also, I wanted to mention that you really should be Following other people an' looking forward to gaining Followers, yourself. Community is also very important. Here at WA, building a community is done by Following an' being Followed.

Good reminder...

Thanks for the blog. It is so true and especially in business. Business people are not nearly as forgiving as your family and friends.

Very true! To keep our customers we need to say nice things to them.

I appreciate your comment Carolyn!

Anthony,
Thank you - regrets come from no filter before
we speak - no thoughts go into what you are
saying - therefore causing many hurt feelings
or anger problems with life - my best advise
to anyone is always think before you speak
living with regret is not something you seriously
want to do :)
Susan

That is very true Susan. Thanks for the additional insight into the topic!
