I felt it was about time I updated my profile. I've had comments from several people here that think I actually have been a WA member since 2009. But I have not. I did join WA back in 2009, but dropped out a few months later because I was still in the "Searching for shiny objects" syndrome. That means, basically, that every time something new that promised the world for very little work, and sometimes no work, came on line, I bought it! Over the years as I got older, but obviously no wiser, I would get an occasional email from Kyle, or maybe Carson, They were pretty much all the same, straight forward, no nonsense messages extolling the virtues of WA. Finally, after some very frustrating years on the shiny object roller coaster, I jumped in and re-joined WA.
I am still living in Tucson in the State of Arizona, but now I have an apartment and I'm no longer caring for other peoples property. I still have a burning desire to make enough money to do some traveling and perhaps leave my grand kids a business that I will have begun right here at WA. I've heard a number of times from various people that building a successful on line business is not a race. And for me that is very good...I am really slow! I have chosen a niche and purchased a domain and have the base of the content I wish to include on the site, but then I procrastinate..lol!
I do other things to make a little money. For one, I am a contract Field Service Inspector. My jobs include everything from inspecting apartment buildings and private residences to heavy equipment and to verify if a business is legitimate. I've been doing Field Service inspections since June of 2007. In another month or so, it will be ten years. I enjoy it very much, but there are limitations on how much I can make.
One of the things I find fascinating about WA is how very generous and helpful people are. While doing the shiny object thing, I joined several other on line communities, but none of them came even close to what WA offers. With the help and resources provided by WA and the community, I will be successful. It may take a while, but it will happen.
TomMoore's Goals 3
Money Goals
My initial goal is to earn $500 a month within six months from today. Earning anything over $10,000 per month would be an ecstatic goal to achieve. I want to be able to take my grand kids on trips to other countries...to experience different cultures. I'm retired so I can invest whatever amount of time it will take, and I will.

The thing about online success that I have come to learn is that there is room for ALL of us within the online world. There is no marketplace that is bigger and there is nowhere that represents this kind of opportunity, regardless of your niche, passions and interests (and it only continues to grow!!)

Take action on the training here at WA, immerse yourself within the awesome and helpful community here at WA... and ask for help when you need it. You will be well on your way to achieve your goals Thomas!

These goals are very realistic and you can achieve them if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

I wish you all the best getting there!

Thanks

Chris

Thank you so much, upsgirl, for the motivating words you sent me. It seems as if there is a great deal to learn in WA. And I guess the best place to start is at the Get Started Here button. If anyone has any other ideas for getting started, I'd love to hear them.

Hi Joe...thanks very much for the nice words. The post I wrote above was at least six years ago. I was a member of WA for maybe a year or so and dropped out for various reasons. I now know that was a mistake and have re-upped, so to speak...lol!
