The benefits of Social Media Marketing.

This post is primarily for the newer members of the community, and it might also encourage some of the more experienced members who still haven't started using Social Media to promote their websites. When I started here at WA just over a year ago, I didn't have ANY Social Media accounts because I didn't see a need for them personally, and I actually thought that they were preventing people from actively seeking face to face social encounters with friends and family because it was easier to just post your activities on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

I know that might sound old fashioned to some people, and that's OK, we are all entitled to our own opinions. Another reason I never had any Social Media accounts was because of concerns for my privacy. Has this been a major concern for anyone else here at WA? Are there any other members who would consider themselves very private individuals, but yet see the the obvious need of being more of an extrovert to build and maintain a successful website ?

I'm bringing up this issue so that any of our newer members, who have no experience with Social Media, will not be surprised by how much we actually use it here on a daily basis. When anyone gets to the point in the lessons where Kyle is telling you to post your latest assignment on all your Social Media accounts, he means ALL of them, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest,G+, Flipboard, Linkedin, did I miss any?

Social Media marketing is another useful tool for you to promote your blog posts and your websites, and if you don't have any experience using Social Media all you have to do is type in what you are trying to learn about specifically in the search bar at the top of the WA homepage. There are dozens of outstanding tutorials and videos created by members of the community, and they will definitely help you as you progress through the lessons.
