Are you too lazy to succeed?

You're here to start your own business. You are going to be your own business owner - your own boss. Whether you succeed or fail is up to you this time. How exciting! But what a responsiblity - and what hard work you will have to put in.

You will get tons of help and support on this site - but please: - start with helping yourself first!

One of the things I see on here are people being lazy. By that I mean taking the easy option of asking a question instead of searching for an answer themselves first.

For example, the other day, someone asked on live chat "help me find a niche". I and two other people gave them several suggestions of how to find themselves a suitable niche. Our replies were not acknowledged or replied to, instead the member posted again "help me find a niche". I tried again to help - but I noticed an hour later another post: "help me find a niche". This member had no intention of helping themselves, or following our suggestions, they just wanted the easy option of having it all done for them. Their question should really have been a demand: FIND ME A NICHE SO I DON'T HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF.

So: an important message to people who are new to owning and running their own business :

Running your own business involves hard work. And you cannot get other people to do all that hard work for you. They might try and be helpful (as I did in the above example) but will soon get fed up offering a hand, and it being ignored, or being expected to help every step of the way. If you want to succeed, it's up to you to do the necessary work.

This of course doesn't mean you shouldn't ask questions, or that you should search for hours before daring to ask. I'm just suggesting that you do the training and use the search bar facility, before asking for answers to basic questions. That way, everyone has more time to help people who really need it.
