Widgets and Links
Hey all, Whist perusing the web today in my never ending quest for knowledge i came upon this interesting article. https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2016/09/a-remind...
Now then it discusses the dangers of some widgets containing unnatural links which Google deem in violation of their terms. Some of these widgets are simple visitor counters.
As we all know Google do not like links that may manipulate pagerank, so this could be a serious problem for some of us here.
You may find yourself getting a warning from Google and I suggest you all head over and have a read of this article because it shows fixes you can do.
Any ways just a quick heads up. I expect lots of you are already aware but i couldn't find it when i searched within WA.

useful info, and yes Google are very strict now in checking our sites. Simple solution is to keep topic relevant and no add-ons via widgets and automatic methods from third parties :)
That's very interesting and helpful information Tim. I was not aware of any dangers with widgets.
