Hello Everyone
It's been a while since I have blogged on WA. Some of you might have been wondering where I've been.
I've still been here, but a lot has happened over the last few months.
Why was I quiet for a while? I don't even know where to begin.
But the good news is I'm working again and you might have noticed me being a lot more active in the WA community lately to.
Today I wanted to take the time to let you all know what's been happening an explain why I've been so quiet for a while.
Let's dive in
Where Have I Been?
Over the last few months, I have been pretty quiet on WA. But I was still logging in everyday and checking my notifications. Occasionally I'd read a blog and leave a comment which was mainly Kyle's weekly posts.
But other than that, I was pretty quiet for a while. I was still here but remaining in the shadows.
Why? Because a lot happened from illness to burnout and deaths. The rest of 2025 and the start of 2026 was a tough one. But a new chapter is beginning now.
Want to know more? Keep reading exactly what happened below.
A Sudden Illness
In August 2025 I was struck by a sudden illness. One Sunday afternoon I felt a sudden pain in my right side.
It was mild so I shrugged it off but the next day it got much worse. On the Tuesday morning it got so bad I could barely move, I was groaning in pain, and my temperature was so high my whole body was really hot like I was on fire.
I should have called the ambulance and went to hospital. But I didn't because I don't like hospitals nor did I want to waste the paramedics time.
I kept thinking ''What if someone else needs help more than me?'' I don't want someone to die because I called an ambulance and delayed someone's else treatment.
So, I decided to wait it out and luckily a couple of days later I was much better. Mild pain and the general feeling of being unwell remained for a while. So did my reduced appetite. Eventually I got into see my GP a few weeks later.
I was convinced it was a Kidney stone and so was he. So, he gave me antibiotics and sent for a blood test, urine test and CT scan. I had my antibiotics and it worked. I got a better a little while later.
A few weeks later my next doctor's appointment came, and I went to get my test results. My GP said it wasn't a kidney stone after all. It was an infection in one of the tubes going down to my testicles. The doctor did tell me the name of it but it was weird name, and I forgot by the time I got home. All I remember is it started with S.
He said it's rare and it was a mystery how it happened.
But I got through it and fast forward to today I'm much better. Aside from the occasional mild pain in my side off and on it's fine now. I'm guessing the infection may have damaged something and that's why I still get the very mild pain in my side off and on. I'll get it checked if it persists.
Aside from that and my usual tiredness I'm fine now.
Burnout
That scary illness wasn't the only thing that happened though. Once I got better from that I jumped back into work in late 2025.
I wrote some new content on my tech site and also published my first ever pillar post on there in early December 2025.
But that was the last one for the year. I was so tired from working hard I took some time off and then lost interest in going back. In the months that followed as 2026 begin
I realised I burnt out again for two reasons.
- 1. I was working way too hard and constantly pushing myself.
- 2. I didn't really want to write about technology anymore [well not for a while at least[ I had enough and wanted to do something else.
So, I came to the conclusion that's why I kept burning out. I didn't return to it and I just kept hanging chilling doing whatever I wanted and sometimes hanging out on WA exploring what others were up to until April 2026 when my mojo started to come back.
That was the start of my return to business.
Two Deaths

But it wasn't all smooth sailing though. On top of everything else that happened over the last few months something very sad happened.
I was affected by 2 deaths. In August 2025 my big cousin Belinda passed away. She died because her liver rotten from excessive cigarette and alcohol consumption.
I didn't really know her much as I only met her twice when I was 7. But I always hoped to see her again one day and get to know her more.
But now that's not possible and her passing saddened me. For some reason I still feel a connection with her even though she's gone.
Little did I know that wasn't all. A few months later I was hit with another blow. At the start of April 2026 my mum's cat passed away from kidney disease.
He passed away peacefully at home in his bed.
This one hit me hard. I loved her cat to, and I cried my eyes out the day he passed away which was Good Friday 2026.
I was going to start some business work that week, but I put it off for that reason.
The cat suddenly took a bad turn and then he passed away 6 days later on Good Friday 2026.
So, I gave myself a chance to grieve for a bit until I felt better. A week or so later I started to get back into things while continuing to support my mum over the phone through her grief.
Don't ask me how I saw a way forward after all this because I honestly don't know. Even AI thinks I've come back stronger than ever, but I don't feel strong at all.
But I'm happy again and hopefully for the future as a new chapter unfolds and a new era begins.
A New Beginning
I decided to return to work but with something completely different this time.
I've had a domain for a make money online website for a while now, but it has been sitting with only dummy content on it since I purchased the domain in 2023.
So I thought it's time I final started the make money online website I've been wanting for so long.
That's what I've been doing the last couple of weeks.
On day 1 did the following
- -Created and uploaded a logo and site icon
- -Created an email on WA for my new website
- -Linked my Gravatar to my new email and set a profile picture
- -Created and published all my essential pages [About, privacy policy and affiliate disclosure]
- -Set up and configured all the basic and needed WordPress settings
On day 2 I created and published my contact page complete with a contact form and created my first post which was an intro post for my new business.
On the days that followed I designed my homepage and troubleshooted a few technical issues. It took me days of troubleshooting with the help of AI and a bit of help from Site Support.
But eventually I figured out my issues were caused by my theme and a plugin I was using. So my initial instincts were the right the whole time. I eventually was able to fix it myself and move.
Over the last 3 days I have been working on more content. I now have 2 more posts on my make money online website, and I have been really enjoying it.
Going forward I will be working on my website regularly every week. I'll take days off when I need to but get some content published every week.
I'm taking things slow this time but using my skills I've learned over the years to make this my best website yet. It's come along really nicely so far.
The best part about it? I'm actually enjoy it and I get excited and look forward to working each day I plan to work. That's what should happen and it was definitely the right decision.
I think a new website and a different niche was just what I needed and I wish had done it sooner.
I'm feel great about my progress and very excited and hopeful for the road ahead.
The Road Ahead
Now that I've gotten rolling again and got my new website and business off the ground I can focus on content and building my business.
Start from scratch has actually been fun and has given me a chance to do things differently this time.
When I look at this new site compared to my old tech site the difference is substantial. It really shows how much business and website building skills have improved over time.
I've learned a lot and come a long way over the years. My new website clearly shows it and I have enjoyed seeing it come together.
I'm currently in the process of migrating some MMO content over from my tech site as it doesn't belong there and is perfect for my new MMO site.
I'm updating it and rewriting a lot of it in the process. The first of the 10 posts is done and in the coming weeks I will be getting the rest done.
Once that's done, I can focus purely on new content and building out my business.
Going forward I will be
- -Working on my new MMO website weekly
- -Publishing new content every week
- -Optimizing all my content
- -Updating old content regularly
- -Utilizing social media and other platforms for my business
- -Tracking and recording all my progress
- -Starting email marketing in a few months once I've got decent traffic
- -Creating and selling my own MMO products in the future after my business has grown
- -Consistently monitoring, researching and look for new ways to expand my reach and grow my business
I will be working hard this time but slowly with regular breaks each week. Slow and steady wins the race. I won't give up and I will achieve the success I want.
Only I can build the future I want and I'm done making excuses and putting things off. I won't let things get in the way anymore.
I've taken action and now I will be continuing to build from here on out.
The best part is I'll be sharing all my progress, wins and updates here on WA whenever something happens regarding my new business.
So stay tuned to my WA blog if you're interested so you don't miss anything.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I have been through a lot over the last few months. From illness to burnout, 2 deaths and more.
But I've come back strong and started again in a new niche. It's going really well so far, and I can't wait to see how it goes from here.
If you're interested in checking out my new make money online website it's now ready for visitors. I've added a link to it on my WA profile in the links section.
It should be obvious from the name but if you need help let me know and I'll help point you in the right direction.
I've been quite active on WA lately and I will be continuing do so. I have some more blog posts planned soon over the coming weeks including a fun experiment I did while setting up my new website and some important lessons I learned as well.
