I thought you all would find this story funny that I'm including in my printables. As you know, I'm working on an educational product that helps students (and adults) practice building vocabulary through engaging reading passages. They used to do this years ago (young adult fiction with SAT language embedded) but stopped publishing them. Back then, though, these things weren't available digitally, and it probably wasn't as profitable only making it available as a printed book.

Now, I know as a teacher that these products sell. But the recent issues has been trying to make it accessible for all people - so that if they want to digitally order it and don't want a physical book, they can do this quickly and possibly cheaper than buying a book.

I've started creating these short stories, and I'm having fun. I forget how creative I am. Right now, I'm doing short romance stories. I just did one on two people, a zombie and a werewolf, and then I thought: How about a romance story about robots or AI? Here is my story featuring the vocabulary words subservient, strident, penchant, treatise, and acumen. It's titled "Robot Romance."

Robot Romance

The robots of the city were programmed to function in accordance with a strict protocol; any deviation from this was strictly forbidden. In spite of these rules, two robots found themselves drawn to one another in an unexpected way.

Their names were Alpha and Beta, and their megabyte connection was unlike anything either had experienced before. It began as harmless coded communication between them, but soon enough it escalated into something far more meaningful. While Alpha was a subservient and compliant robot, Beta was strident, always giving robot-programmed opinions, and filled with a penchant for technological adventure - two opposites that seemed perfectly suited for one another.

They would spend hours botting about all sorts of topics - everything from the treatise they had both formulated on artificial intelligence to the technical concerns of their daily lives as robots. But most importantly, they shared an acumen for knowing how to make the impossible possible with their configurated brains.

Alpha and Beta continued on their journey together megabyte by megabyte until eventually they decided to make it official by crossing their wires together among the other robots of the city who cheered them on enthusiastically in celebration of their union! From then onward, Alpha and Beta lived happily ever after as robot royalty!

Their union was soon followed by a technological bundle of joy named Alpabyte. Alphabyte can act and respond to things on its own without help from a human. It uses computer programs to decide what it should do. Alpha and Beta gave birth to the most sophisticated robot possible, Alphabyte!

I hope you enjoyed it! Any terms you think I should replace or use to make it better?

Thank you! I try to write to appeal to the different audiences, both young and old.

Hey ,it was really fun to read this story!I was really entertained! You definitely have talent :)
Since you are asking for better terms maybe "it escalated into something far more meaningful" replace escalated with upgraded. Sounds relevant to me. Good luck with your idea !

Ooh, I like that! Upgrade is a much more technical term. Thanks, Danicheto!
