Are you a "goal oriented" person or a "river" person
Hi everybody,
I just want to share with you some thoughts I learned from an online qi gong and tai chi teacher about learning. Of course it was written in terms of chi developement in qi gong and tai chi, but I think it matters also in the stuff we´re doing here and everywhere else we want to evolve.
He said that there exist two kind of people: the "river" and the "goal oriented" person.
Goal Oriented
This person needs structure and written goals to keep on track with his/her training and to advance in the progress. For example writing on a blog post 30minutes every day.
River Person
The river person doesn´t need this kind of orientation, in fact the goal oriented approach might hinder his/her progress. Because he loves the thing so much or has so much interest that it becomes a daily habit to train the things he needs to advance.
Of course there is a bit of those two types in everyone of us, but we have a tendency for one of them.
I`m more a "river" person, what are you?

I used to be very goal orientated. I now go with the flow . . . of the river. Very informative post. All the best to you.
