Oops! Your comment is not unique .?!

A few times each week, I participate in the comments exchange program WA offers in the SiteRubix feature. I comment on 4 to 6 sites' posts or pages, rack up 2 or 3 points, and cash them in to receive comments on my own sites.

Usually everything goes smoothly. I always write thorough, thoughful, and unique comments. However, sometimes WA evaluates the comment and tells me it is not "unique", I have written the same content before, and won't publish or credit it for me.

BALDERDASH AND HORSEPUCKY!

That is total BS, because I know what I have written in the past, and no way have I plagiarized myself!

It nettles me to no end, but I will rewrite and augment, until the comment is deemed by WA as original, unique, and "thorough" enough to be accepted and published.

Fine.

But today I am trying to do my thing in the comments program, and I keep getting this response:

"Oops! Your comment is not unique

We had trouble verifying the uniqueness of this content, please try again in a few seconds"

This is a new one on me. Might be a technical glitch on WA's end? Has anybody else run into this kind of response?

If anyone ever gets this issue and they feel that it hasn't been copied from either their past comments they have offered or somewhere online, drop me a PM with the exact text of your comment and I will investigate for you. Thanks.

We have a duplicate content checker in place for all comments within the platform to prevent duplicate content from being shared on people's sites which can lead to much lower rankings, something that we obviously don't want to allow/support.

Kyle, this is surely not duplicate issue, I have had several cases. Pity did not save but I am sure there will be more.

One example which I clearly remember: Comment with the word SmashFund was not unique, then by chance I changed it into Smash Fund and it was all fine. Before that I was adding words etc, so I am sure it was not related with a possible minimum number of 50 words. There is some problem and it should be identified somehow.

I shall remember this suggestion and send you when/if this happens again.

Oh okay, Kyle thanks. I understand the need for good filtering, trust me. Just doing a little venting, lol. But I will take you up on your gracious offer if need be. :-)

I use the system frequently and I have the same problem often.

Funny you mention this as I ran into that issue yesterday. It was a little annoying, but nothing I couldn't overcome. I had one instance yesterday where it said my comment was not unique enough so I added just one word and it worked. I thought how strange it was that it accepted it after I added just one little word.

Hi Marvin,
I've had that happen to me once, I didn't think it was a problem, I just added more content and clicked submit again. It was fine. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with it. I hope your problem can be solved soon. Have a good weekend.

Thanks. I think it was a temporary glitch. I waited an hour or so, resubmitted the very same comment, and it was then accepted.

I'm glad to hear that it was just a glitch, nothing major. Have a great weekend.

Yeah me too. You have a wonderful weekend also. :-)

I am glad you posted this because it has happened to me too.

Thanks for showing us the problem cause now we know what to do to fix it!

Get ready Kyle. I'm sure you're going to be getting quite a few emails ;-)

Hi Occasionally get this unfound remarks too. I just walked over it. Not too bothered to try again. [Liat]

Yes, repeatedly for the last 2 hours!

The very same thing happened to me this morning. I finally left it alone because I have other tasks to complete today. Maybe it was a glitch this time around?

Yes and I just reworded and was ok
