Can People Please Include Their Websites In Their Profiles?

I like going through the activities dashboard and reading people's posts, whether it's about their accomplishments, or concerns and questions they have about their website. Usually, the first thing I want to do after reading someone's blog post, or question is visit their website.

What I find that is very little people actually have links to their website on their profile.

It's not a question of being nosy, it's to be able to better understand the question or concern being raised, and to able to offer specific feedback on how that person's site can be improved.

I don't know whether it's that people don't know that they can leave the link to their websites on their profiles, or that they choose not to, but I think that it's both helpful to the individual member, as well as the whole WA community to do so.

In the case that you don't know how, simply navigate to your profile, and you can links to your website/social media on the bottom of the right hand sidebar.

I look forward to seeing your beautiful sites and helping you with them

Jason

It's all about networking, building a relationship with the person, once you have that, ask them to share the link with you. Another way to see sites is to help people out through SiteComments/Review. The last way to see is to google, you can see any site you want with google. But as @RICH mentioned, there are those people out there so you have to be careful. You wouldn't leave your wallet on a table while you went to the bathroom right? Warren buffet doesn't divulge all his investments and dividends, same principle here. I have yet to build a relationship with someone who has declined me seeing their website, so put the time and effort to build this trust and relationship, help them out and I am sure they will help you in return. Pay it forward is the WA motto not here steal my research and hard work and I am not saying your the person to do that, but unfortunately, these people do exist.

You first have to be following a member before their websites will show on their profile page.

However, many members, myself included, don't share.

Unfortunately, as others have said, there a few unscrupulous members who steal anything and everything, including entire sites.

However, there's another big issue. Those members who have successful sites in their own niche, don't want hundreds — if not thousands! — of backlinks from Bootcamp sites showcasing them as an example of a business built at WA.

I'm afraid Google would probably tank my travel site, if thousands of make-money-online sites were linking to it.

I also don't want thousands — or possibly hundreds of thousands! — of visitors who have no interest in my business, but simply want to see an example of a site created following WA training.

Sorry!

Leomery has given the reason why most people don't because too many sites have been copied multiple times and it can be extremely costly. Some people are happy to share but the majority never will. Most people will only post it temporarily or send someone a pm and I personally think that's the best way.

I have what i'm willing to share in my profile. Feel free to check it. If you do decide to leave a comment please make it relevant. Oh and please don't link to me :)

Personally I don't anymore because I've had my site copied not only the design but content too and it's happened more then once.

That's a good point, Jason. Perhaps if someone's post captures your attention and you don't see their website on their Profile Page, you can send them a PM. Sometimes it could just be a matter of oversight.
