My progress within WA

I am approximately 45 days into my enrollment into Wealthy Affiliate. I must say that I am intrigued and amazed at the amount of information that is available as well as the unlimited resources provided here to help me reach goals as well as understanding something I already thought I had a firm grasp on.

I went through classes in order to evolve to the next step in the evolution of building websites back in 1999 after I realized that as a part-time Independent photographer, I was spending much of my time and money traveling for paid photo gigs and reaping the short end of the finances as I noticed my photos going up on websites built by someone else. My goal at that time became to become the photographer and the website builder. I learned how to monetize my website creations simply by taking the photographs and then centralizing them on a website that I created. Six years later, everyone can build a stunning website without my help and everyone has a camera-phone. So, the classes I took became irrelevant, and my photography drive died with the times. I no longer had a way to monetize and monopolize my photos or give a good enough reason for someone not to build their own website and pay me to build it for them.

I came across WA approximately 5 years ago, I never decided to join. At that time I was probably reinventing myself for the 7th time in 10 years. I read several reviews, did much research, and finally decided to join this year on my Birthday while I was in New Orleans celebrating Mardi Gras. I finally got started and realized that this was the missing link. This entire community and all of the resources available add up to what I have been trying to realize and figure out for the past six years.

My progress so far has been inconsistent at best. I have realized that I will be a member and continue to build with WA for as long as my fingers work, so I didn't allow the busiest season for me all year in the profession that pays my bills(Auto Industry) to stop my drive. I do regret that I did not join in Oct-Dec of 2016 when the market for car buyers is relatively slow so that I could have been much farther along in the process. The fact that I have to juggle my daily schedule and continue to advance in my certification courses has actually increased my drive, and I believe that since I am going through this process now, when I am more free in the coming months, I will be able to utilize what I am learning in this hectic time, which seems to be a good thing so far.

My niche is probably what I know best in the world. The automotive industry has kept me and my family alive for the past 19 years, so my niche is basically sharing some of the knowledge on car buying, auto financing, and resources to help in purchasing a vehicle.

I would have to say the thing I am most proud of is the fact that I am trying to balance 12 hour days and still getting in and at least logging on to WA in order to see the next step I need to take to get me closer to my goals and through the certification process. This is not much to be proud of, but when people get taxes, I am usually only focused on getting that person their next vehicle. WA has kept my attention as I have worked through fatigue and tried to do more than the recommended daily classes when time is available.

In the next 3 months, I plan to have created multiple websites stretching outside of my core niche. I will do several websites pertaining to automobile information and help guides, but I also plan on expanding into areas that I have thought about doing in the past but simply never saw a reason to do so unless it was going to produce a stream of income. From what I am learning now, I believe that whatever I do online now will be escorted with the possibility of monetizing it.

In six months, I plan on seeing the fruits of my labor realizing themselves in a wealth of knowledge that I can pass on to others. I plan on bringing people into WA so that they can realize the potential I expect to have by that time. I have learned so much in so little time, and I thought I understood so much more than I actually did. I plan on learning, earning, and teaching others how to do exactly the same thing in six short months.

I have tried all of the online resources to help people get to where they want to be in life, this is the first one I have joined that actually does what I have already been doing, and shows me other ways to make my work pay off much better than I was already doing. I look forward to learning all that I can, and sharing it with all who have the drive to achieve as I do!
