AIOSEO score 100% - I'll take that!
I am relatively new to all this Wordpress SEO stuff, and recently wanted to create a post for my Refer-A-Friend page, so that I can share the "good stuff" that I've come across, and am currently using.
Things like SIM contracts, utilities, vacation stays, and even property crowdfunding. You get a credit upon signing up, and I get a referral bonus. Win, win!
What I wanted, was basically, just a landing page, with the essential information, and a link to my refer page. (all the links in one place; neet!).
It was always going to be very low on word count, as it was not a blog post, as such. Just the essentials, based around an image. Really MVP. Because of this, I didn't think I had any chance of attaining a good SEO score.
Knowing that the All In One SEO plugin had recently been updated, I thought I should probably see how my other content was rating, and make some changes, and adjustments, to improve my search engine ranking. Turned out it was a bit of a mixed bag, with ratings from 74/100 to 89/100. Some orange, some green, but none red.
Imagine my surprise when I created my refer-a-friend page, and the SEO score came out as 95/100! I was shocked, to say the least!
So I thought, OK, what would it need to take it from 95 to 100?
Upon checking the details at the bottom of the page, inside the back office of my site, I noticed that the heading "Readability" was orange, and had 1 error. On closer inspection, this error was concerned with "passive voice". I had too great a percentage of this "passive voice". Having no idea what to do about this, I turned to Mr Google for help, so that I could actually try to understand the issue! I searched the term "AIOSEO readability passive voice", and quickly found an article that would help.
Apparently, it is regarding grammatical construction. For SEO purposes, articles should be constructed in such a way that not too much is spoken in the "passive voice". I can't pretend I fully understand this still, but I proceeded to improve the balance, by writting a sentence in the possitive voice. BINGO! My score hit the magic 100/100.
And the sentence that did it?
"If you need to know more, drop me a comment below, and I'll get back to you. Thank you."
OK, technically two sentences, but that is a win, and I'll take that!
As my page wasn't very wordy to start with, it didn't take much to skew the balance in my favour. Now to review all my other work!
Wishing you much success

The passive voice is used to much in blog writing. We should not use the passive voice too much in blog writing.
I was kidding around. One sentence is passive on passive voice and one is not. Just fun examples for people who don't know what passive is.

Hi Colin,
Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't know a Google Rating system like this existed. I will check my published posts.
