Wow. I Did It!

The day has come! Day 7 out of 7. I started to feel a little writers fatigue around day 5. This is the first time I've ever challenged myself like this.

My average article length over the last week was 1,500 words (my goal was 1,000+ per article).

And today, the 7th and final article, was a whopping 3,000 words - and it took me only 3 hours to research, write and revise. By far my longest post and I'm super proud of it.

Accomplishing this goal honestly feels better than earning commissions in some ways. At least from a pride perspective it feels way better. Challenging myself to heavily do a task that I really don't like and am not very good at and to do a lot of it, consecutively, was daunting and I wasn't sure I'd pull it off.

In the last week alone, I have produced DOUBLE the amount of content that I produced throughout the entire month of December.

If you recall from my last post, I am doing this to really force myself back into the habit of working on my website as it used to perform great but I let it go stagnant back in 2014.

Well, with the articles I have written just in the months of December 2020 and Junuary 2021 I have already DOUBLED the total amount of content that was on my website back in November 2020.

So far, no real traffic to speak of. Google's pretty upset with me for allowing the dust to settle for so long so it's going to take some time to pick that traction back up. But man, when that happens, it's gonna be awesome.

All of the content I created this past 7 days has been part of a larger content strategy to develop a 30 day guitar lesson challenge for an email list offer. I've completed 14 out of the 30 days already.
