Changing Lives...
Hey, what's up guys!
Man how things have changed since I've come home! I haven't been active on here or done much to my business since I've returned from my travels, but I have been doing things that will change my life in the future. It's all about taking small steps now to make a big change in the future.
I have found some awesome things since I've been back and I feel like I can make a big difference for the future of my business.
I will be making some big changes behind the scenes that people won't be able to do but I will lead to a better experience for my future audience and also, I believe, will make my business be better.
Here are some of the things I will be doing:
- Changing my business name... That Helpful Dude will now be a part of a bigger thing.
- Changing the way I interact with my audience... Going to give a lot more than originally planned.
- Stepping back from a couple projects I'm doing... My fitness site will be put back on the sideline after I've changed the theme, added an optin and changed the a few recommendations (traffic has increased by 120% and I haven't added any new content in almost 2 years...)
- Will be working on promoting a book I've created targeting young travellers and college students. (Do you work in either of these niches? Get in touch!)
- I'm going to be creating a Mastermind group to bounce ideas off of so the group will have a support network to improve their businesses.
Plus many other things...
I think that we can all make a massive change in peoples lives if we focus on truly helping others than focusing on the money. Look at the big companies in the world that just do whatever they can for bigger profits... Do you want to be bundled in with these guys because you share the same ethics? Hello no!
I know we are all here to make money and have a business that makes us a full time income, but if you lose focus of that and set your sights on helping others, the money will come.
Leave a comment below with what your goals are. Where do you see your business in 5 years? What impact do you want to leave on the world?
Anyway, time to go do some work in the local pub ;)
Love you bye!

Sounds very interesting, and like it will be an interesting journey to follow! :) 5 years from now? Successful, that is how I see my business! Helping others to develop there own new futures both financially and more importantly spiritually, as that is the foundation of true life! :)
Great ideas, I am with you all the way. So you have reached a new stage in your life and made some new decisions, very good. better now than later. Well go and do it..! good luck the choice is all yours.
Thank you very much my friend.
I have definitely found a new passion and it is more than just helping people and putting money in my pocket!
I just want you to know how appreciative I am of your quickstart guide to setting up a website. I've set it as a favorite and always refer back to it when I get a new domain set up.
I am actually going back to an old WA affiliate site that is written for college students and would love to hear more about your book.
I have created a downloadable PDF of the quickstart guide, just incase that's easier for you to use.
The book I've been working on is a drinking games book. Obviously college students are well known for partying and drinking, but also travellers. When I was living in Fiji I hand wrote a book of drinking games and it proved to be extremely popular in the resort, to the point where people who just came to the island said to me "Oh you're the guy who knows all the drinking games"
The book had over 65 signatures on the front from people who played in about 4 weeks and I've had MANY people say they'd love a copy of it. So I'm in the middle of digitizing it right now and also look into a printed version too.
I think this could be a popular thing...
Nah... I have so many ebooks, it's just quicker to find it in my favorites than to do a search in my computer :)
Thanks, though!
Wow! That sounds like such a cool book!
I don't drink (I'm actually allergic to alcohol - I know, it sucks - especially considering that I used to love whiskey and schnapps and know what I'm missing!) but as an EFL teacher in Russia, I have used many drinking games as icebreaker games and would be interested in reading it :)
That's awesome! Good luck!

I have also gotten side step through other business areas
in my life. Now I have to redirect my energies more in this
community so that I can have a more rewarding IM experience.
You do have a point we (IM) shouldn't put all our energies
in making money but building up our relationships in
the communities we work and live in.
This has definitely been the biggest revelation for me. If you focus on your audience and helping them, the money will come. Just don't put the money before what is best for your audience!
