Step to Increase Your Site Speed
If you want to increase your site speed, here is what I did:
- use the generatepress premium theme license
- using premium license theme, you can customise your front end as many as you want
- customize your front end more lightweight, simple, and no need to more widget
- tested using speed test: gtmetrix, google speed test, pingdom tool, and google lighthouse
- audit your site through lighthouse extension chrome
- repair your site element base on lighthouse score using generatepress customization
- attached the score that I get using the above methods

Good advice!. I have almost the same setup as you, with some plugins activated to help the speed site; lazy load and Kraken.

If possible, just use the images, widget, and site accessories that necessary. Avoid using more widgets.
I agree. Avoid the widgets and plugins if you can.
I have experimented with several plugin combinations and have found a "perfect" selection which doesn´t impact my site speed.
Just out of interest, Google´s Site Kit plugin, messed up my site speed severely. When it was de-installed, on both websites, I was back to a score of 100 both mobile and desktop again.
Nice results, mine are close but Lighthouse hasn't been used yet. Will check it out now that I have it added to Chrome.
No, I don't use CDN. I use the only hosting from WA here, and for the images optimization only use the kraken plugin (default from WA). The main focus on these methods are :
- how to customize a simple front end
- repair and customize the "front end" and entire elements of your site base on the lighthouse score.
- this is possible to do if you use the generatepress premium theme
- I don't try yet using other themes.
Btw, what the theme do you use?
Generate Press is included for free members sites as well and his tips and tools will give information on optimizing any theme

Br careful with generatepress. It made comments impossible to get to so I had to change it.
For site speed one just needs to go to google search console and on the left click where it says core website. Core something. It's in bold so one can't miss it. It will take you to a screen where you can test the desktop speed and the mobile device.
