A Nice Surprise & Accomplishment In My First Week!
Major Accomplishment: Google Indexed!
I got a notification that one of my websites that I started before starting WA was google indexed! This is only my first week as a WA member, so...I am not sure what this REALLY means. Lol.
What Do I Do Now?
So, I moved my previous website (that was just indexed) over to be hosted on SiteRubix here on WA, but I was starting a brand new website to make sure it is built correctly. They are pretty much related to the same thing...making money online for teachers.
My indexed site is my original site.
The new site I just started literally days ago.
Should I keep my original website and just revamp it as I go through the training or use my new website?
I am thinking I want to leverage the power of being indexed by Google because it could definitely work to my advantage, but I don't know. I am new at all of this!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Congratulations and well done Candice
Personally I would keep my new site and use it as a training ground. You can do a lot of your testing on this site through the training.
Just a thought
All the best

Great idea! I advise only ONE site at a time. So does some big money earners. But since you have both up already. Having two sites in the same Niche can feed off of each other SEO wise.
You could focus on your Main site the Most. Get it up and running. Meaning at least 50 or so post. You really got a good feel of it.
Then feed the 2nd site a few post.
1st Site: This side of the Niche House
2nd Site: The other Side of the Niche House
For instance... If your site was about Basketball.
Main site: My personal experience as a Basketball Player and How To Play
2nd Site: NBA news
Have both sites link out to each other!!! Backlinks!!! That means better SEO.
Have fun!
Hi Candi,
maintaining two sites for the same purpose will be a lot of work for not much extra gain. I'd suggest one site per niche. If they are both along the same lines, automatically redirect one to the other.
Or since they are both pretty new, combine them now and focus on one. If your brand is 'Candice Z' use the first one. If your brand is 'enterprising educators' use the second one.
Be careful posting links to your sites in your blogs.
Basically you are risking getting banned from WA for a while if someone complains.
I don't think you're trying promote your sites in this case. Others might.
There are other ways to solicit comments specifically condoned by the powers that be. Such as site comments and posting your site/pages/blog posts here for comments: Need website comments? the give and take comment thread Here are the rules for blogs and links: Need website comments? the give and take comment thread
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I have decided to just stay put on the original site. I was going to do something a little different with the second step but J think I will keep doing what I was doing on the first.
I didn't know about the links. I will remove them. Thanks!
Hi Candi! I just gave a response to your question. But actually Marchanna 's answer is better than mine. Scrapping the Secondary site and just Using your Main site is better.
Put all of your efforts into one site. That usually is much better!
I think you should keep your older website, but I would buy a domain and move it to a registered domain.
I wish you success.
Thanks for your response! It is on a domain...both are. So, I should be good to continue on my older website is what you are saying, right.
That is what I meant. When it is indexed in Google, you should keep it and continue to develop it. That older site is also more personal to you. I think it is nice.
Thanks! I really appreciate your feedback. May you continue in your success as you help others!
