Doesn't time fly when you're busy?

Wow! I can't believe it's been 6 months since I went premium. I have been so busy at Wealthy Affiliate. Where has all that time gone? And do I have much to show for it? Well that's an interesting question worth pondering?
What achievements can I see? Well I can see that I'm over 50% of the way through my training. I can see that I have an attractive website with a privacy page, a 'My Story' page (that tells my story in great detail) and 2 lengthy articles that I am very pleased with. It doesn't sound a lot for 6 months, but I know I've been really busy, so what else have I achieved that might not seem so obvious?
Well firstly, I'm a newbie, so along with the training is the necessity to build confidence and for me, that happens when I take my time and understand everything fully. I've always been a slow starter and over the years I have gotten used to always being the last in the class but it doesn't bother me anymore. I know that this is the best way for me to learn and build my confidence.
Secondly, I can have a tendency towards perfectionism which can be a real pain, as I know this is a big part of why I'm so slow. I often chastise myself "Hurry up Tarn! You need to move on". But this can be a hard thing to do when you're new. You worry about what people will think of your work. They might find mistakes! Oh no!
So what else have I achieved? Lots. I've gained knowledge, skills and confidence in many areas. For a start, I'm confident that I made the right choice joining Wealthy Affiliate and going premium. I'm confident in the training and my ability to learn it and implement it. I'm confident in my ability to problem-solve when things aren't going well and know that I have a supportive community I can tap into when I get stuck. I'm confident that I've found the right niche for my first website. I'm confident that I am on the right track and making slow but good progress. I'm confident that I will be here for a long time and I will reach my goals. And last but not least, I am confident that I WILL get faster. It might not be today or tomorrow but it will happen.
