Google Plus Account Setup Fear is now Overcome!

Okay I admit it, I have had this fear of getting into other social media platforms since I have been comfortable on Facebook and somewhat on LinkedIn. I didn't really see a need to get involved with two more groups.

I have never been one to shy away from learning and have been an IT support person and Software support person for a number of years so you would think I would not have any fear at all. Well, I did. I guess part of it was I just wasn't sure it would be of any benefit to my husband and I and our business.

However, after going through Kyle's training on Social Media today, I am much more comfortable and am getting better at it. I am now beginning to see how Pinterest and Google+ can add more avenues for connecting with others that I wouldn't reach otherwise.

I don't want to be considered a spammer. I really do want to help others. Our business is our ministry. We do need to earn some money along the way to help support it and us, though.

So based on what I got out of Kyle's training I will probably set up some time every morning to post a couple of posts on each of the social media sites or else alternate days and just be sure I get some posts out there and that I interact with some of the people who are following my site and some I have interests in as well.

It turns out that the setting up of both Pinterest and Google+ isn't too difficult. Those 'privacy settings' are some of the hardest to discern as to what you want you choices to be. I finally found where to add circles and now see what they are. They are really categories of those who you are following.

I got a couple of collections set up as well.

I have a circle called WA where all you guys will fall in on my Google+ page.

THis is pretty short and not really teaching you much of anything, except don't fear setting up these social media pages, it is doable.

Thanks to Kyle and Carson for this great group and the great training at WA!

I agree. Social media can be intimidating, but it also can be very powerful.
