About TareqHelmi
Joined May 2018
I started my career at the age of 16 while studying. I grew from an entry level junior position to a senior director position in a matter of years.

I was at the top of my game, felt like I was bullet-proof, untouchable!

Especially that I used to work for hours on end, putting my job first always, free time didn't exist for me. My career was my life and my life was my career.

Come January 1st, 2017 the unthinkable happened... I got "downsized".

I lost my job, my career and with them my entire self-worth and life!

I tried to accept jobs that people were so kind to connect me with to try to salvage whatever's left of my career. Long story short... it didn't work.

“I am done being someone's little b****!” rung and keeps ringing inside my head.

“Busting my behind to make their pockets fatter with the lion's share, while I get the leftovers.

And then when they've had their fill, they throw me to the wolves. Thanks but no thanks!”

I was furious, and rebellious. I wasn’t ready to give up and started trying to make it online on my own.

Unfortunately, failure seemed to be my companion and stood beside me every step of the way.

With every failed attempt the "nay sayers” increased 10 fold. People's faith in me diminished. Those who supported me began to lose confidence in my abilities one by one, until there was no one left.

I was crushed, I too, began to buy into the idea that I am a failure.

I felt like death would be an improvement on this despicable existance.

I felt paralyzed, I had failed at freeing myself, heck I even failed at being a corporate slave. My life had no meaning, no purpose!

I kept refusing job offers and even partnership offers. Due to my fear of further failure, in part.

And partly because I was done working for others. “If I am going to work for someone, it will be on my terms” I thought.

The vicious cycle of failure and self doubt turned me into a train wreck.

I was smoking over 2 packs of cigarettes a day, my weight jumped by close to 30 kgs (60-ish pounds). I was on the fast track to self destruction!

I let go of everything, pushed away most of my friends, and loved ones, and as a result I never felt more alone.

I felt miserable, all hope was lost for me!

THEN... I found an ad on Facebook by pure luck, it was a share from a friend or something. "Start your business on shoestring budget" it said, “come to the webinar” it proposed.

Out of pure curiosity, I began to research the guy behind it.

I found him authentic enough, and as an expert marketer I could see he was onto something.

I attended his webinar, and bought his program, it was worth it! Every single penny!

Knowledge is power, I went through the system, watched all the lessons, binge watched for 3 weeks.

At least it was better than feeling sorry for myself. Better yet, it gave me hope!

Then I was ready to kick butt. Within my first week of practicing what I learnt I made $40 and was the proud owner of a mailing list with over 60 readers.

Then the money stopped, open rates dropped, click rates were non-existent. I thought the issue was with the knowledge...

I thought I invested in learning how to be a one hit wonder!

Ohh how wrong I was, it had nothing to do with the quality of the education. The problem was me, my mindset, my approach.

I can't say I am where I want to be right now, but what I can confidently say is that I am getting there.

My open and click rates have gone up again. I am finally on the right track to building a real internet business for myself with engaged readers.

I know I may not be an expert yet on what works, but what I do know is what not to do... I made mistakes and I learnt from them.

Part of the lessons I learnt led me to invest in business coaching. I must say its impact on my progress has been remarkable.

I will be telling you about my journey to becoming "Legendary" very soon.

I am not in the habit of sharing much of my personal life with anyone, let alone the world.

But I felt a moral obligation to share my story in hope of inspiring someone.

Guys! No matter how tough life gets, there is always a silver lining.

Never give up hope!

So what if you fail?

So what if you feel like you are the only person in the world that believes in you?

Let the "nay sayers" enjoy their careers and "secure" jobs, and you stay your path.

Just make sure to invest in yourself, though. If you can't afford to invest money then invest time.

Everything is available online! You may have to sift through the information and filter out what works for you. It will take time but you will get there.

Cliche as it may sound, don't give up on yourself, stay steadfast and persistent. Believe in yourself and you will achieve your goals one day at a time.

Dear TareqHelmi

I am touched by your story.

My life with you is quite similar. I decided to quit my corporate job instead. I resigned on 12 Aug 2020.

I am focusing on my online business however I do not have time to pursue the opportunity with WA currently. I joined in May 2019.

It is not easy and failure is a lesson learnt for me to better myself.

I am seeing sales and doing this rinse and repeat to scale my business. Though the money is not close to what I have been earning, through time it will surpass eventually.

Thank you for sharing.

Best Regards

Dear Marc,

I am glad to find someone whom my story resonated with!

Listen, I'll let you in on a little secret, don't let lack of income initially discourage you. Most people give up right before they strike gold.

I made a mistake when I first started online marketing, I spent all my savings and then hit a dead end.

Luckily, I hadn't received my end of service gratuity yet when that happened. I took my end of service and dropped that into a used cars business with my brothers to begin rebuilding a solid foundation for myself.

Then relocated to Egypt (my home town) to help my dad out with his restaurant which wasn't doing so well, it didn't pay me much but at least it kept me fed and had some pocket money for clothes and stuff you know?

Then I took a daring step and sold my apartment, and investing in a used cars business here with a family member and used the profits from that to finance my online business.

Moral of the story, and this is as genuine advice as you can get, plan your money, don't make the mistake I made when first starting.

I was like you a member of wealthy affiliate, but didn't bother to use it and went chasing shiny objects here and there.

Ohh and that's another thing to watch out for when you are on a tight budget which I assume you are, be very careful with jumping onto too many opportunities.

These will spread your time and financial resources thin. Invest slowly and gradually don't get excited and jump all in at once either, take your time to evaluate results.

Just because someone signed up to a program you are marketing doesn't mean that they will not refund or that they will continue with their subscription for more than 1 month.

So keep an eye on statistics and don't get excited with some income and blow all your money away. Always test, analyze results, then scale. This is the safest way.

Another thing to consider, is WA has so many tools at your disposal to make money all for free within your subscription, take advantage of them, being an entrepreneur after being and employee requires a mindset shift.

There is no longer a paycheck at the end of the week/month so every penny saved is a blessing and means more profits in your hand at the end of the month.

Good Luck my friend and I look forward to seeing you succeed!

Regards,
Tareq

Hi Tareq, great advice. We needs time to create good quality content (3 per week) in order to have a chance to get good readership.

I do not have the time to do that currently and it seems not sales profit is not very attractive as well. Probably in the range of US$2K to US$4K per month when you are in the business for more than a year. This is what I have gathered and may not be accurate.

Nevertheless, there are bloggers who made real good passive income and I guess we need to follow what those people are doing to be successful, which I do not I know exactly what they are doing.

Do share with me your progress in WA and I will update my progress over time.

Good luck.

Best Regards
Marc

Hamish I look forward to reading this post as I have read the previous one! Yes I have returned and I think this time it's for good!

A very warm welcome to Premium membership, at an increasingly difficult time for our world. At least your WA experience will give you cause for some hope, and a potentially brighter future.

I promise that you won’t be at all disappointed, remember to keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times during this wild, exciting and great fun ride!

You have made an awesome choice, in giving yourself full access to a support system that will help to unlock your creative and earning potential if you really want it to.

I can’t believe that I have been here for less than 4 months, with all that I have been able to achieve in that time, all with the wonderful help and support of the folks here at WA.

Within 17 days of going premium (I was so impressed that I signed up to my Premium subscription, at the end of my first day as a free member) I had built two websites, written over 30,000 words, of keyword rich content, between 28 articles, and I had both sites indexed on Google.

I now have 3 Websites established and growing and I have published over 90 articles and written over 113,000 words! I have been listed in first position first page on Google and Bing for two of my websites.

I have also completed Entrepreneur Certification, I am now working through WA Bootcamp. I am on fire!

I am not suggesting that you have to, or even should, work at my pace. This just about letting you understand what is possible for anyone, should wish to commit to this extent!

It’s your choice, it’s your time and greatest of all, you are the boss; you call the shots!
Not everyone will work as fast as me, and that is absolutely okay. That is no barrier at all to eventual success. You should go at your own pace, just stay tight with the WA support system and you will get there, at whatever speed you choose to pursue your own objectives.

Ask for help anytime and I will if I can, or point you to someone who can.

However fast you decide to go, I really do wish you the very best of good luck, and please make sure that you have fun and, oh yeh …………..hold on!

Here is my 90 day story, I hope it provides some inspiration to demonstrate what you can do if you act. Hamish 🧐
