Hello WA! I just complete some research for my website which is posting and writing about unknown bands that have not made it big yet. Always wanted to do this and now it's becoming a reality. When you find your PASSIONATE about something - the juices automatically FLOW out of your brain, through your keypad and onto the screen! Even through the difficult, "hitting the wall" times, your passion overcomes!
How to add music clips to your post
As I was researching I found that Word Press uploads audio clips, whether music or voice, through the MP3 format. Basically if you have a file on your computer which has the MP3 format, you upload the file normally through the "Add Media" in the upper right corner of your post/page.

Place your curser at the position you want on your post/page, hit the "Add Media" to click your particular file and in the "Add Media" page, hit the button on the lower right "Insert into Post". After you are finished with your post for the moment, update it on the right and view.
Getting help through Word Press
You can also find other ways to add the audio clips through Word Press. Just google "Adding Audio Clips through Word Press" and it will pop up. Word Press shows four different ways to add your clips but the easiest I found was the MP3 way listed above.
How to turn your iTunes files into 30 sec MP3 clips
In iTunes you can set the "Stop TIme" of a track in the Options tab of the "Get Info" window. You can set that to 0:30 or equally set start time to 1:00 and stop time to 1:30 or any combination you want.
In the Import Settings of the General tab of the iTunes preferences, set the "Import Using" to "MP3 encoder". Then when you right-click on a track you can select "Create MP3 Version" to make your 30 second version.
You can then drag that version out of iTunes to a file location to upload to the website. Make sure you adjust your original song to 30 seconds first BEFORE you change and add the MP3 version. After you drag it to a location on your computer, don't forget to go back to your iTunes and change the original song/file back to the entire play time or you will always have "30 seconds" on your song file.
