A Little Thing I Did.

Hello everyone, How are you?

I feel small and nothing when I read the world news talking about corona in my country. Even so, today 5 April 2020, I want to tell you a little about what I did during WFH. Not much I did, besides laundry, cooking, and doing office chores at home, I took the idea from P interest and started sewing without sewing machine. I tried making some face masks from cotton cloth to protect myself and my children when we went out to grocery. With face masks, we can leave the house, and shop calmly, even if only for a short time. I had made ten face masks and plan to make more, so I can help people who don't have face masks yet.

We contribute by calming people through infographics, this is what we have done and are still doing. This is part of my job. We, friends at the office, also made a donation to buy 50 pcs doctor's protective equipment for the nearest hospital in my town.

Besides that mention above, what should and can I do?

It's a bit of a relief to have this activity. At least I have did something.

Kyle, Carson and y'all, please Stay well and Safe.
~ Sylvia Yuchinta ~

I applaud you for all that you have done already. In the process of helping others, you have brought peace and love to yourself and those around you. It is best to stay busy helping others to protect your own sanity during these trying times.

You wanted to know what else you can do: You can check on your neighbors and widows to be sure they have help and things they need. People are often checking on us "old people" to keep us from going to the store and risking exposure.

Note: My daughter also makes cotton masks and puts in a filter which consists of the material in one of the fabric type grocery bags (used in the US) Those bags are made of fibers pressed together, and they are washable and do not fray. You sew them between cotton layers inside the mask People say the virus has a more difficult time getting through the fibers so it is a good preventive measure to put in washable masks.
Much Love and Blessings to you Sylvia,

Linda

Hey,
Thank you for the advice, and I'm impressed with your daughter. How sweet she is, also makes her own mask :)
But my daughter sent a mask through "Ojek" because she lived far from me and her younger siblings.

Actually, I like to work from home. There is enough time for me and the children, as well as other routine things.

Here, where we live, even though we may not go far from home, we still have "Ojeks" who order food/goods at restaurants online or buy online via mobile phones. This is very helpful.

And here, parents usually live with their children and grandchildren, they don't live alone, so there must be someone to look after it.

Even so, I hope this hard time will pass.
Stay healthy and safe

Ya, making this simple face mask, has distracted me from the fear of reading rising mortality rates.

Thank you so much,
