Hi WA Family...

I'm sorry I haven't been here much. Between trying to balance work with everything else, it's been kind of tough staying on top of things lately.

My friend's daughter, Karen (on left) has been sick a long time. When she was little she had Ewing Sarcoma (rare bone cancer) which only 150 people in the world get yearly. She had to have an extreme form of chemo, which caused a lot of damage to her body and especially her heart. She had congestive heart failure. She was 19 years old. Last night... her heart gave out.

I helped her mom years ago when she needed to be able to get to doctors appts with her daughter and would make agreements with folks to get her there. They let her down a lot, so she really needed a vehicle. I bought her a car for $100 and my fiance and I went up to give them the car after having to replace the battery in it.

I got to meet Karen and her mom. I've known them for 13 years. Karen was a young, sweet gifted artist. She left behind her service dog Coda who is totally distraught and her mom who's is struggling with this. Karen was like one of my own. I really wish I could've helped her. Feeling absolutely helpless and deeply saddened today.

I will be going to visit them next weekend. Karen left me some things, but I want to reconnect with my friend and hopefully share some grief.

Prayers to her mom and family would be appreciated. I appreciate the love and support of this family of mine here. You guys are awesome. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...

Sylvia

Hey Sylvia

So sorry to hear about your friend and her daughter. I surely
can identify with you and her mamma. I am a breast cancer
survivor who went through severe chemo as well. Yep it
does major damages to your body. My deepest sympathy to
you and her family. Take time out to recoup........ however,
don't give up ..... when you ready again follow your dream
at WA.

God Bless

Amina

Thanks Amina

That’s brutal. Cancer sucks so bad. No words can make it any better. You and your friends are in my prayers.

Thank you

May she rest in peace

Amen

I am so sorry for you loss...

Thank you.

I just had to tell a close friend of hers that she passed. He did a lot with her when she was younger.

So sorry to hear of your loss Sylvia. I pray that you will be comforted at this time of grief.

Thanks Jackie

She was actually showing improvement in her health when she went quick.

Yes. I have seen this happening to family members and friends.

My uncle signed the discharge papers to leave the hospital and the next morning he was gone. He looked so well.

Be comforted knowing that she is no longer in pain as hard as it may seem.
