So, after seeing so many different views on SiteComments, especially the ones regarding quality of offered comments, I decided to share my own opinion about this feature and the comments it provides.
The Positive Sides

1) It's freaking awesome that you are able to receive comments by offering them. This opportunity is really one of the unique features here.
2) You can EARN up to $100 dollars by just providing comments. So you can pay your monthly subscription + have $51 bucks as an extra money in best case scenario.
3) You can create a really successful blog with a lot of received comments, if you are really active in commenting other peoples websites. This will lead to better rankings and better authority and feel for your website.
4) If you do not like commenting or you think you are no good, you can buy credits and with them buy comments for your website.
The Negative Sides

1) Receiving low quality comments. This is number 1 issue for most people. I am really tolerant, but as of recently I started disapproving some comments that came on my website.

I don't like doing it but I think that some of the rejected comments would look spammy and potentialy ruin your reputation.
Examples of those comments are :
- Copy Paste Comments
- "Thank you for this article. Your article about (ARTICLE HEADLINE) is really good and i really like it. Your article offers great help. Thank you".
- If the article is about woman pregnancy, don't comment that you had a baby last month while your name is, lets say Jeff, and your avatar clearly shows you are a guy. I'm giving a dumb example, but those kind of comments happen.
- Giving your opinion about article, as if someone asked to grammar check the article and give your English language grade. Example is: "Your article is really good. You had one grammar error in the second paragraph, but overall your article is keeping my attention." That is what I mean. I want a comment about the content, as if you were interested in my article, not my grammar :).
- Articles with big number of grammatical errors. I dont need to explain any further than that.
So, all in all I never rejected too many comments, but the ones I did was clearly under criteria. Hopefully no one gets offended. I appreciate everyones work here. I only reject comments when they are really really unacceptable.
Some Tips for Better Comments

I also got rejected couple of times. I am not perfect. However, most of my comments were approved. I usually do it this way:
Whenver there is article about something that is out of my field of interest, I try to create a relation with the article. What I mean by this is that I allow myself to have great imagination when offering comments and make up a story.
Let's say article is about women fashion. I do not know anything about that. But I can make up a story about my sister who is into fasion and that this article would really make her happy and she also likes the same accessories mentioned in the article.
Lets say you have article about menopause and you are a guy. You can make up a story of your mother or aunt that had some imaginary problems also mentioned in the article.
Your comment is there to make people feel as if you can relate to the story. No one knows if you made everything up. If it is relevant and enagaging with the topic, you will get approved.
So, that is my solution to providing engaging content.
How do you deal with article which are out of your point of interest?
Thank you.
