Well, It is a Start
Saturday and Sunday games were washed out. Unfortunately, I made the whole drive up and back. It was a financial lose, but it happens every so often and is just the cost of being in the refereeing business and wanting to do better soccer games than I can get locally.
Got back home and planned to do some internet marketing stuff, but the weather had caused my broadband wireless connection to disappear.
So over Saturday and Sunday afternoon I read one book and started another.
The grand kids and I took a walk in the rain Saturday. We managed to walk through every puddle between here and Tony's spring. Kids loved it and i had a good time too. May be mid week before those shoes dry out.
Sunday morning a tree fell across the road between us and the main highway and we were blocked in until about 10:00 PM. My daughter and son-in-law could not get out to go to work and I missed Sunday school.
That afternoon the grand kids and I took another walk. it was barely misting, but the temperature had dropped so it was cool going. We had fun and laughed a lot.
This morning I got and my internet was still stop and go. Mostly stop. About 4 this afternoon the connection was finally good enough to actually accomplish. About that time the grand kids got home and I was multitasking between playing with them and the web.
Finally got on and posted on my new WA web site. Since the weekend had washed out I put up a note I had written a while ago for on Facebook. Indoor games Wednesday night so i should have new material for the site soon.
Hopefully there will be more training to help me figure out what to do with the site.

Now that you have some content, you can delete the sample page or rename it and add your own content to it.
good advice. I wasn't sure what to do with the sample page. Hated to erase something until I was sure it wasn't needed. I am such a pack rat I hesitated in erasing the "hello world" page.
That title reminds me of learning to program computers. In almost every language I bought a book to learn a new language ,"Hello 'world", was the first program and all it did was print the phrase to your computer screen.
If I ever write a book about computer languages, the first program will be "Butterflies are free!"
Hi Steve. Looks like you had fun with your grand kids even though the rest of weekend did work out as well as you had planned. I find your writing interesting. I just joined last night. Hope to hear a lot more from you.
We did the best we could with what we had and mixed in a lot of laughter.

We will be around regularly, although I have a motorcycle blog and a soccer referee blog going. So hopefully I'll have more news about my IM and even making a little money. And more malarkey and blarney.

I don't watch tv, but the people I know who are soccer fans seem to find quite a lot of it on the satellite and cable sports channels.

Your writings had me in stitches!!! You're such a sweet and gentle man and I say that because who but a nutcase would be ruining a pair of good shoes as you did with the grand kids.... or a very gentle man??
I checked most of your writings and haven't finished all of it, but soon will, because I love your raw and honest style. You have so much potential... why? 'Cause you're passionate, devoted, you follow instructions and you love God!
If you will allow me, I'd suggest you "drill down" in your chosen niches and you will find so much to promote you're gonna run in circles and bark at the dog. You could promote helmets, but specific ones and maybe the expensive ones, why not? And stacks of other bike products as an affiliate of Amazon or many other sites. To see if a shop has an affiliate program, just Google the name and add the word "affiliate". Right now, open a new window, find your Google search bar and copy and paste "Kmart affiliate" and see what I mean.... That way you will discover affiliate programs in many shops nobody may even know of.... more barking may follow!!
Same for the soccer site, as every soccer player needs a few things, new Nike's being just one of them, what about gym bags, especially the expensive ones... we should stop thinking people won't buy them expensive goodies, otherwise how the heck did Ferrari survive??? Again, Amazon, Walmart and many other big chains could fill up selected spots on your websites or be a hyperlink in an article and when a reader clicks on it, they're on your affiliate link and wham!!! you're making bank before you know it!
Bear in mind, another benefit... if someone enters a link from your page for say Walmart and they end up buying make up for the wife, you get the commission on that deal too!! They don't just have to buy what you advertised and the same applies at Amazon and others.
You fascinated me with your mysterious "eyes of golden brown"....... You could build a site dedicated to her (I checked and www.eyesofgoldenbrown.com is available - only 10 bucks my friend and you can coin it on this one....). In terms of the above, go back to your Google search bar and copy and paste "golden coloured eye make-up affiliate" and see all the ideas. I'm sure Amazon will also offer make-up, but keep your rugged face off the site, as it may help you sell make up...!!! RALMAO..
