Christmas!
Earlier this morning the grand kids were listening to a CD of Christmas music and two of them were singing along.
This year they put up a small Christmas tree on a table. This morning the 10 yr old was cleaning off all the items that did not belong so there would be plenty of room for all the presents from Santa Claus.
Later the oldest was lecturing the youngest about Santa Claus and how he did things. Not sure she was exactly right, but the younger two hung onto every word.
Every so often there is a spontaneous rendition of "Santa Clause is Coming". By one, two, or all three,
I think us kids are ready.
My daughter called this morning from work and asked when the church's Christmas Eve Candle Light service began. It is a short simple service. Basically come as you are. For me it is the best of Christmas. Will be great to have the some of the family there this year.
Well, it is Christmas down here in Cherokee County, Texas.
2100 some odd years ago Christ the Savior was born.
Hope y'all have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!

Yes, butterfly's are one of God's gifts. Hard to photograph sometimes. About the time I get set they start flapping their wings or just flutter off.
Hope you and yours have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
Thanks my bud. You illustrate it in a way that makes me feel like an onlooker... Enjoy every minute, as we old farts now know these special and innocent moments don't last very long!
Thank you, Joe.
Your kind comments got me thinking of things to write about again. The forever cold and some other situations had me a little down and nothing seemed to interesting enough to write about for awhile.
Hope you and yours have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas,

Thanks for sharing. Hope it was a good one for you and Happy New Year. Nice to see one of the Monarchs has made it South. Doesn't look like one of mine though.
It was a fidgety cuss. Chased it all around the yard to get a couple of good pictures. About the time I was reasdy to snap the shutter, it would flex it's wings or fly off to another flower.
Too bad there wasn't another camera going to capture that. :)
