"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away From all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones Who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." Wishing you all the very best in 2017. Please, spread the kindness.

“Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.” ― Edmund Lee

I have three websites now. That's two more than I had when I first bought Akismet. Yes, I say bought because I don't recall it ever being called a donation and I certainly don't recall a sliding price scale down to zero. I have always been charged $5 per month for my site. It is set to auto renew which it did this year. A couple of weeks ago I was notified that I had a comment to review so I went to my first website to review it and I was confronted with the following notice;AkismetAkismet Er

Kyle encourages us to establish a presence on social media, Facebook and Google+ are two that I have focused on. Faithful to his instructions I have posted my image and written an honest human description of myself, who and what I am. These are supposed to establish trust and be the basis of a reader/author relationship. The problem is that instead of finding new consumers for my blog, I am getting hit on. Every week I'm getting friend requests from men I don't know. They say they want to "g

I'm telling myself to keep my mind on "the big picture". Don't get bogged down with those petty worries that take over my mind and keep me focused on the small stuff. I know that I do the world no favors by playing small. If it's true that we come round just once I really do want to make a difference and I want to have some fun. That's why practicing optimism is key to any life successes. Choose to think positively because it is a choice you know. We have that ability to choose the other if w

I've recently involved myself in the WA comment trading program. Basically it's where I earn credits by giving comments for other peoples websites and in return spend those credits to purchase comments for my site. I get to choose the post or page I want to be read and commented upon. Then when someone steps up to offer a comment it is submitted to me for approval or rejection. The biggest reason for rejection is that the comment is not relevant. The comment should reflect that:you've read

I've come to realize that I've been flying by the seat of my pants. That was necessary, because if I had waited until I thought I knew what I was doing, I likely would not have any website yet. I'm talking about web hosting, domain purchasing and all that initial stuff that's prelude to having a website. I've just recently been notified by Hostgator that they have put through another charge on my credit card of $230ish . I suppose it's an annual renewal of a domain I have. The thing is, I d

I just read some interesting facts about Amazon that I thought were worth sharing with everyone selling Amazon products or thinking about it. Five Amazon Facts: 1. Amazon has over 200 MILLION buyer credit cards on file (all ready to buy with ONE CLICK) 2. Amazon receives over 580 MILLION MONTHLY visits (that's 19 MILLION per day!) 3. Amazon spends on average at least $5 MILLION per month on just paid search advertising! 4. The average order value (how much people buy in a single tran

Word of Caution: Take the time to read the Affiliate Programs' Agreements before you join. I applied to an affiliate program last month and as I read through the long and tedious legalese of their agreement, I came across the one thing that made me decide then and there to shelve them. It was a clause that demands that I share my WordPress password with them so that at any time that they are examining my website, they can go in and make their desired alterations. I couldn't believe my eyes. I

I am a perfectionist. First I cross my t's and dot my i's. Then, I step back and look at it a while. Then, read and reread. I ask myself if I'm ready yet. Then I ask myself if I'm SURE I'm ready. The other day I received an email that changed all that. It said I didn't have to wait until all my ducks were in a row because that's simply NOT what a mother duck does. No, she doesn't wait around for the line to form before she sets off. She just hops off the curb and waddles across knowing full
