I have just been on to your site for bass players Peter, awsome site you have, which has given me some ideas.
I have been playing trumpet for many years, and like you have had to grab a day job sometimes to make ends meet. I have noticed you don't have any affiliate links for products linking to amazon for example for anything that might be of interest to a bass player. Was this intentional. I am thinking of building a site for trumpet players, and linking to products through amazon for example.

I'm curious as to how you found that site? It was my first one and I abandoned it after 2 months! That's the reason there's no affiliate links on there (might be one or two somewhere).

There's lots of great ways to monetize a site for trumpet! I look forward to seeing what you come up with. You might want to check if any of the local stores near you have affiliate programs as well. There was a bass store near me that had an affiliate program and the great thing about it was I could go down there (I knew the guys pretty well) and try out the gear for reviews and video, etc. without having to buy it all! At least I had a genuine experience with the products before trying to write reviews. I left that site because it was the first idea I came up with and as I learned more and more at WA, I started seeing different opportunities and avenues.

Anyway, let me know when the trumpet site is up and running. It's always good to hang out with fellow musicians. I take it you're a jazz player among other things??
