LUV Einstein! Wish folks would truly dwell on the deeper meaning...how much better life could be.....sigh....

funny quote stadium, I have added you to lmmy network and hopefully we can talk sometime..interested in your blogs so will be reading through them

Great quote.

Hi stadium, your Idea was also covered by a child´s book of mx children written in German: " As the goat learned to swim".
It is telling a story how a group of very different animals attended the class. And when they tried to do differnt things always exact this situation came up. The elephant couöd n´t climb the tree because it broke and so on and so on.
I do like this picture very mch.

Makes me wonder how many things I believe about myself to be true which aren´t! The best, not to identify.

Perfect for today.

I love that quote. Illustrates a foolish kind of conformity. A person can have a genius for something that is put on the back burner while he is forced to learn something he'll never use. A girl in my high school class was a magnificent dancer. She went on to great heights. In the college prep courses we were all taking, she was a dud, barely paying attention, and flunking. All she ever wanted to do was dance. She had tons of discipline for dance, and that's what her life is all about.
.

Yeah, this is a great one if you like fish that can't climb trees.

Well Quote

This actually reminds me greatly of our education system. Treating everyone as though they are the same and have the same interests and skills. For the first 17 years of our lives we are taught more or less to be generalists and forced to do things that we have no interest in (and will never use again in our lives).

We in essence are trying to teach our kids (the fish) how to climb trees instead of just swimming.

Great Quote Stadium... and great point on education Kyle... so true yet sad for the future at the same time.

Yep, and our educators try to force everyone into the get a job and work hard till you die mentality. Early on it seems that children are taught that thinking outside of the box is only something that failures are allowed to do.
