Just for today!

“The best way to bring success to yourself is to genuinely desire to create value for the rest of the world.” That’s powerful! I realize this is not a brand new idea, especially since that seems to be the motto here at WA, but honestly how many of us put that into practice in our daily lives? It is so easy to get caught up in what is missing in our lives, we forget to be grateful for that which we already have. We are all valuable. Everyone has something to offer. Recently my father was hospitalized for benign prostate hyperplasia. During his stay at the hospital, we experienced some of the most conscientious, kind nurses and some not so much. One male nurse really stood out to me. He was one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. He spoke in simple, straightforward language and was genuinely interested in my Dad and my family. He even had a good sense of humor. He told us he has been a nurse for 25 years. I could just tell by his mannerism this was his calling; it didn't seem like he was performing the typical humdrum duties. There was genuine desire to create value in my father’s life and value to our family. So just for today I am grateful for that wonderful nurse.
