My kids will have a lot of cleaning to do when I'm gone
I have lost control. Being online since the beginning of 1990's I have created, bought and signed up for more "digital stuff" than I can count for. I have all kinds of tools for keeping track, but I have "No Coontroool".
I'm not sure how many gmail accounts I have… probably more than 30, use only 7, I guess. I have a bunch of domain names on X servers, some for sale, a lot of them out there… doing their job.
Tools?
They say that the young people are "online", and they are, but I guess most of them do nothing about all the tools I have for tracking, marketing, opting in, social … bla…bla
My children, now young adults do not know what their father is doing for a living
I'm an asymmetrical consultant (a title created by me) and an artist, I say. They can see the paintings on the wall in our house, the tents I have designed, sleeping bags etc. That is physical. But the online stuff, no way. It is way too much.
It will be a lot of cleaning… or a lot to be happy for. It all might give them a solid evergreen income.
If they are interested, like: Daddy! Could you tell me what you do for a living?
I'll be delighted. Happy, actually.
There will be a lot of "cleaning". But when I'm gone - I'm gone, and html, Word Press and autoresponders will not be of any worry.
I did some cleaning the other day… got rid of some domains and paid my employees to manage some of the stuff.
Turning in… bed time where I live!
PS! Spell checking…no time for That

I’m surprised they aren’t curious as to how their dad earns a living without going to a “job”.
Maybe one day when they are sick of their own job they might ask 😀
You wrote beautifully I do actually tell my Son everything I am doing to make sure he does not sit on money and go hungry while it’s there.
He may not be interested but sure when mum is not there he’s brain will kick into gear for survival
Great post
