No1 on Google and 2nd on Bing!
Hi All,
Just thought I'd drop a quick line in here to say that Kyle's training works wonders.
My site is coming up at No1 on Google and at No2 on Bing searches (see screenshots below) for the chosen Niche/long tail Keyword, which is also the domain name even though I have not quite kept up with one blog a week as recommended.
The fact is I am nowhere near one blog a week and am actually way behind as the site only contains the 5 posts that I have written since September 2106. This is mainly due to shiny object syndrome, a lack of focus along with other commitments that are currently paying the bills eating up my time.
Still, reaching the dizzy heights of No1 on Google just confirms to me that if you follow everything as per Kyle's training you can get to the top of google and other search engines without too much trouble for low traffic keywords.
I did do plenty of keyword research for each blog utilizing Jaaxy and and all the keywords used were as Kyle suggests "low hanging fruit", whether this is helping me get to number one I am unsure?
There is one review I wrote about business books that also comes up at No4 in Bing (see photo below) when searching for my Long Tail Keyword/Domain Name. I am guessing this is because I have categorized it under 'Reviews' on my website as it shows up as 'Reviews - My Domain Name'. My Facebook page also shows up at number 5.
This seems like two or more bites of the cherry and I am glad I put posts into categories as Kyle recommends. I am also sure submitting a sitemap to google webmaster tools also helps with this aspect although it is showing up on Bing's first page and not on Googles?
I am not sure 100% sure which direction to go with the website as yet but as it is hitting the top spot maybe I should take advantage and go somewhere with it. Really it is not my preferred niche as I aim to start on a Thai eccentric site that I have already bought the domain for.
My initial plan was to use it to get used to building WordPress websites as I had never used WordPress before and also to try my hand at the writing/blogging part. I never really thought It was going to be a huge money-spinner and currently it isn't, maybe now it deserves more effort?
I hope this gives those of you that are struggling to get up onto page one of Google some encouragement, if I can do it with only 5 posts over 8 months I'm sure you can!
Now, had better get my ass in gear and write another post for that site ;-)
Good luck with all you wish to achieve.
Cheers
Tony

HI Snogiggs!
Question for you. In regards to the low hanging fruit. Woudl you attribute your posts going to the top due to picking the right keyword and time?
What I am getting at is, after your site aged a bit, did you notice the posts consistently showing up on the front page?
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the follow.
In answer to your question, I am still #1 on google for the search term 'best internet business training' (the name of my domain/website), it got there after a couple of months but my posts individually are not on page 1 or even close, and now the posts are dropping even further.
Like I said in my post the site has been neglected that's why the post are dropping but it just goes to show that picking the right keyword and just a little work can get you to the top of google.
I'm still undecided on what to do with the site?
Wishing you all the best in your en-devours as a new father and a new Affiliate Marker.
Cheers
Tony
