Two Months Into WA – My First Blog Post

I joined in September but did not ‘start’ until 1st October – so today it is: 2 months into WA and I am absolutely loving it.

I don’t have to say how amazing this community and training platform is – we all know this.

I signed up for the monthly premium membership in October and took up the amazing Black Friday offer last week – so I now have a whole year and hope to see the fruits.

With WA’s membership fees not having been increased in years, this is a sign that WA really is about helping people. This is why this community thrives.

I am only half-way through the second level of the Online Entrepreneur Certification Level and I am sure that other members move through the training and build their niche website much quicker. I am still working 5 days a week and I wish I had more time to go through the training and continue with my website.

My biggest challenge is writing content. English is my second language and writing has never been a strength of mine. I absolutely love creating my website and enjoy building it (adding photos, banners and everything else that is associated with it). I do have to say that there are still a lot of terms that I don’t understand or know about but I am sure that all the relevant items will be covered during the training (Fetch Google, Google Webmaster Tool, etc.)

Although writing content is a challenge for me, I noticed that it has become slightly easier over the last few weeks the more I write and I am hoping that it will continue becoming easier. As we all know ‘Content Is King’. A very valuable statement that Kyle made and encouraged me was that it is more important to produce content with speed (at least at the beginning) and not trying to perfect it. Not everything has to be perfect – that is good encouragement.

Another important statement that Kyle made was that it is not about writing an essay or assignment for a university degree. It is about connecting and communicating with people and writing like I was talking to a friend. Trying to ‘change this mindset’ has also helped me.

One of the lessons was about adding photos and images and I must say – wow, what a difference it made to my website. I don’t have a lot of content on my site yet and it looked bare and not very attractive but as soon as I added a banner, background image and a few photos within the posts, the whole website ‘transformed’ – or at least in my opinion it did :)

I only have 5 active posts on my website at the moment and I am not quite ready yet to share and ask for feedback or comments through the appropriate channels here at WA that are part of the training modules but I do hope that I will get to this stage very soon. I am currently looking into setting up a newsletter function and working on ‘bonuses’ that people will get when they sign up. By that time I am also hoping to have a few more posts on my website and I am looking forward to getting feedback and comments through the ‘Site Comments’ and Give&Take platforms.

And before I go I have to say that I love Jaaxy. What a great tool it is. I only use the free lite version but what an insight it is into the online word of keywords.

My latest targeted keyword only had a QSR of 23 and Avg of 48 (so it could have been better) but I thought that one keyword that doesn’t get too much traffic would be ok as this was something I wanted to write about and include in my website. While doing research about this, I came across another keyword and when I put this into Jaaxy and researched it in Jaaxy, I couldn’t believe that I found my next two keywords of QSR 10 and Avg 499, and also QSR 117 and 5322 – so I know what I will be writing about next. I am so looking forward to it.
