As long as you are prepared to return the favor to whoever replies, I can’t see that this is any worse than sharing comments.

I learned in this community that, instead of returning the favor by writing a post, the guest blogger gets the opportunity to build a backlink, reach new readers and grow their audience. While the person accepting the guest post gets an additional post on their website. There are some websites that charge guest bloggers a fee for allowing them to publish on their websites - I don't as I am still building out my site.
