Give Your Brain A Workout
Just a simple stimulation to make you think as you go about doing your business. Here it is. Your brain is your true ear, and its strength can help offset an ear's weakness. The muddier your ear's reception, the more you rely on your brain's ability to supply context. When a word is indistinct, you use surrounding cues-- words, looks, and gestures-- to supply the lost meaning. But you can only do that if you keep your brain sharp enough to help when hearing slackness. Remain intellectually active. Go to lectures, take courses, read, and practice what you've learned. Do anything to stay intellectually stimulated. Furthermore, diet and exercise do affect the brain as well, keep it supplied with blood sugar and oxygen. So eat your brain food and don't drop the aerobics. Remain healthier so that your work can be on the continuous pace to its accomplishment and so forth...
