Trying to Put the Pieces Together.

These are mainly thoughts on trying to put some of the pieces together, with sites I use on a daily basis.

My main job is in Real Estate, and the company provides a very nice web-site that we can customize. It is in association with Market Leader, but is branded to our company. We can upgrade to the PRO version for $175/year. The PRO version allows more customization, but only to a point. It also allows us to choose a URL, and create 1 custom page on our main site. We can control the text in some areas of each page, but most of the content are homes.

This web-site is also linked to the MLS listings of the other agents in our office, which we can use for promotions and campaigns. There is also a strong search capability for any property in our MLS region.

While I enjoy many features of this system, there are some things it still lacks, so that's why I think a blog that drives people to search for homes using my site would be very helpful, but I want the blog to not only be about the real estate properties in our office.

I have created a Facebook page with the same name as my company page, and I can create a single-property page in Market Leader that can be shared to Facebook in 1 click. I think this is a great thing for a lot of other agents, but I still want to do more.

Company Page: buyandsellsouthjerseyhomes.com (launched in March 2015)
Facebook Page: Buy and Sell South Jersey Homes (content started March 2015)

The big thing missing from Market Leader is a simple Capture Page. They have something, but there's too much on it.

At the end of last year, I was learning a lot about Inbound Prospecting, and creating a funnel to bring business to me. They made it very clear that blogging is key, and knowing the local market, as an expert, would bring a lot of business. I currently own SouthJerseyLifeandLiving.com. This is where I really want to start my blog, using the process taught here.

So, my question, or point of this blog, would be to figure out the ideal way to have these 3 link to each other naturally. I would also use to talk about areas, communities, events, and properties. If there is an unusual property, or something interesting happening in our area, I could interview the other agents in our office, and feature some of their homes.

Most of the blog content would come naturally during the course of the week. We have sales meetings, home tours, open houses, etc., to talk about. Also, lots of school events, charity events, that are fun and important as well.

I'm debating if this is too much, but the first 2 pieces are already there, so the new blog will only help to get things out of Facebook, and I'd have the ability to include Affiliate Marketing if a home has a unique feature that I want to highlight.

If I can do this, it would prove to the other agents that I know what I'm doing, and if they want me to help them do this, I'd certainly help them (for a fee). The other agents are not competitive with their properties. They are equally supportive and helpful with everyone, which is unique, I think. They already reach out to me for help, but they don't know how much more I could help them.

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated!
