It's been just over a month since I discovered and joined Wealthy Affiliate. This is an amazing community with endless resources, which is something I also appreciate for the company I'm currently working with, which is a global real estate brand.

I always like to surround myself with successful people who are positive about what they are doing, even if there are times things get bad. In our real estate office, we are a small group of productive people, working for a huge company. We are always helping each other, because we are all licensed and trained using the same methods and concepts. If someone has a conflict with showings/inspections/open houses, other agents will step in when asked, because we can. Although I'm not as successful as others in my office, I don't discount myself based on their success. At this point in my life, I'm very comfortable with who I am.

I've been struggling with the fact that real estate isn't really a passion of mine, but I haven't minded learning about it. I'm extremely lucky to have found an amazing group of people to work with, but something was certainly missing. I love technology, software, problem solving. I dabble in social media, graphics, etc.. These are the places I'd rather spend my time, and share my thoughts, ideas, plans. I find myself either at home, or in a local library, rather than in the office, or running around showing homes all afternoon.

I was totally jaded earlier this year. I worked with a client for 5 months, first, just as a rental, then they decided to buy. We found a home just before Christmas, so I spent my holiday season going back and forth to get the sales agreement signed. In January, we had the home inspection, which had issues. It's a 94 year old home, and there should be no surprise that it might have issues. We got within 1.5 week of closing, and my buyers would not sign the last agreement, because of 2 sentences in one of our standard addendums. The deal was cancelled. Lots of wasted time, for nothing.

Thankfully, I'm now part of a team that lets me have a share of their transactions, while I figure out how to market their properties, work on their web-sites, or do research on comparable properties. I love sifting through data and providing them with concise reports to help make decisions. I'll also sit through open houses or inspections while they are out generating more business.

I like that people here are working together for something good, for them, this community, and the people who read the content created by all the talented people here.

The more I learn about WA, the more I want to share it. I've just been very selective with how I've done it so far. I hope to stay for a very long time.
