What's going on WA?

Over the past few months I've been busy re-evaluating the direction that I'm heading. In that timeframe I've cleaned house, I deleted many accounts that I don't need and unsubscribed from many services that I haven't been using. I had a hard decision when it came to WA.

You might be wondering why. There's no doubt that WA has its benefits and is worth the subscription price but not for everyone. The direction that I've decided to head (which I'll explain in a bit) is not something I feel WA will help me in technically speaking. However, WA I feel is a great outlet to share my ventures on so that I can obtain feedback and create a following. With that said I've decided that keeping my WA membership is something I will continue to do for the time being.

So what direction am I heading in? Over the past year and a half I've been heavily focused on content driven websites. It's been great. I've made a decent living. But it's starting to bore me. I love creating apps and digital products but it had started to bore me. Over the past year I've been keeping up with the trends but taking many shortcuts that I wouldn't normally take. After a few incidences that forced me to dive back into the technical part of the business I realized that the industry has evolved a lot more than I thought and as I started to fix my problems I became more and more intrigued and excited. This got me into the mood of going back to my original passion of working on projects.

With that said, I'm starting two new sites as soon as possible. One is a blog of my developmental adventures. It will cover many technical aspects as well as marketing aspects of the business. I'll post about it when I get it live (a month or so). Secondly, is an app that I won't give too many details about but basically it's in the spirit of Flipboard as an RSS aggregate but with a few tweaks and a different visual interface. I'll keep you posted on this project as well.

On the flipside I have to figure out what to do with many of my content sites that aren't up to auto pilot of yet. I'll probably sell them but I'm not sure yet. If anyone is looking for a head start into a new project let me know.

Glad you decided to stay! Keep us posted on those new ventures (adventures?).

Thanks Bob! Definitely will keep you guys posted.

All the Best!

Thanks.

Hey Christian, sounds like your heading into an exciting new venture. I'm wishing you every success =)

Thanks a lot!

Good luck!

Thanks!

Hi every one, I want to say am so excited be around here. I look forward sharing information on various topics in relation to looking good which is good business. Cheers.

Hey Christian,

Nice you're taking action with a clear head & taking the route you're going. I can understand how some things might bore you. Carson once told me you only need 1 site to succeed. I took his advice seriously and now I have everything planned out for just 1 site (besides my I.M. one). I know it's a lot easier to deal with and think about.

Good luck.

Seth

Seth, Carson was right. You only need one site to succeed, however, some can work with many and succeed as well. I've collected many passive income earners over the years but I've become too relaxed and too lazy lately, I need to reignite the fire and move into another direction.

Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.

Thanks Dean!

How great that you know to shift focus when you need to. It is always better to move forward than stay put and stagnate. My most heartfelt best wishes as you move forward. (and what a relief that you aren't leaving us here!)

I definitely agree, moving forward is the best thing to do. Sometimes its hard to let go what you've worked hard at for so long but I believe it works out better if you keep pushing and challenging yourself.

Good luck with your new Ventures. I too, am into apps... recently obtained skybuilder which simplifies the app creation process... The apps created with it are compatible with the Google App store as well as itunes and Amazon.

Thats great! I don't know much about skybuilder but I'll look into it. I'm pretty wary of app builders as I like complete control of my code and designs but it looks interesting.

I can do code but I am slow and not proficient with it... my strength is marketing. With sky builder you can do both (write code or no code). I also have Go mobile as a back-up for out sourcing custom apps... I do not want to sell apps and not be able to deliver, so I've tried to cover my bases and allocate what is the best use of my time. I think right on with apps... they are in their infancy like when the first pc's came out and have grown and evolved since then... there is so much growth potential with apps. Good luck and keep me updated on your growth.

Hi Christian

It sounds really exciting and I wish you every success for your 2 new ventures. How sensible of you to take stock of what you're doing and pursue the things tht will hold your interest. Glad we're still going to see you around

Best wishes

Beverley

Thanks Beverly, I know my activity has been down but sometimes you need to take a step back and re-evaluate. WA has blown up over the time I've been in and out of here I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a lot of feedback from the community.
