Hi Shelia. We all go through that overwhelmed feeling, as there is so much new information to get into our heads. You mentioned that you are working on two websites. I would recommend that you focus on one for now, as you are just getting into this and one website can keep a person plenty busy.

Once you get your first website going and are seeing some traffic down the road, then consider starting on your second idea. Many people try and do two at one time when they are new here and usually end up getting burnt out or lost in all of the work to be done. Just my thoughts. All the best to you. :)
