Installing Links

When I follow the directions for installing a link it does not install properly. I get a box with a red broken line around it and the link doesn't work.
This drives me crazy. I don't know what to do about it.

There are a few ways to do a hyperlink. The image below, you just put the link you want to display in the open space and paste it on the text side of your editor where you want the link to show on the page.

I discovered that the link you are putting in, mustn't have any spaces in it.

First of all, If the link is spelled correctly;
Secondary, if the link is still valid;
Third, if you are entering links using WP, are you using text mode?
