Jaaxy telling me to never say never!
Playing around....I mean searching for a bunch of key words/phrases on Jaaxy the other day for my WA site and I thought I'd Just try a little something different.
6 years ago I closed my business I'd had for 15 years. It was my 2nd business in that particular field, although slightly different niches of it.
I closed it for no other reason other than I was over it. "Never again" I said....I'm done. I was very good at what I did. I had over 10,000 very satisfied clients. I even won a national award. To this day I still have old clients searching me down to do work for them...6 years later! I was tired of it and needed change.
Enter Jaaxy!
I threw in a few keyword searches in my old field of work and wow! I found 30 keyword phrases...
- Searches: between 500 and 5000 each.
- QSR: 70% are below 100 and some below 20 and as low as 0...yes Zero!
- KQI: All green - bar 2 (yellow)
- SEO: All bar 4 are in the mid 90's and the 4 are in the mid/high 80's
- Domain: Majority available in .com /.net and .org
Am I a mug?
I already know the answer to this, but this research has left me in a right state. I know I need to pursue this, as every waking moment I'm mapping out how the site is going to appear...almost page by page. Unfortunately I'm a stubborn so and so and keep telling myself "that part of my life is behind me". But enter the practical and excited side of me. "Do it Steve. You have the knowledge and skill. Articles will be a walk in the park and there are tens of thousands of searches a month needing your help"
Two things have happened here
- Jaaxy has helped me realize I have an extraordinary opportunity here and it can do that for us all.
- Never say never!
Being the obsessive type of guy I am, If/when I start this site I will struggle at this point of my training to apply myself to another site and feel my affiliate site will suffer as a result. BUT I actually feel excited about this.
This is not a vote
I would love some feedback from you all on this. Tell me what you would do in this situation. I expect there to be a variation in comments here and none of them will be wrong as that is what makes each of us different. Deep down I know what to do but would love to hear some opinions.
BTW Jaaxy is one killer keyword tool and I would definitely recommend it...you never know where it might lead you.

I think you should go for it. You still have allot of interest in this particular field and are good at what you do.
You have stepped away because for what ever reasons, but it still is your passion.
Now that you have taken a break, and have explored other opportunities, this will give you a fresh out look on this particular field and more excitement.

Thank you Linda. I'm still digging deeper on this one. Spent the whole day checking the competition sites and YouTube. I do have a backup plan which is another niche I explored a week or two ago and that one is still well in my line of sight also. The main difference being my old field of work will involve a lot of video work and there is a bit of very good comp on that front. Still a bit to chew on. Nothing is ever clear cut is it. Ha ha.

Steve, here is my 2 cents worth for free because that is probably closer to it's value. There is nothing wrong with old! My being 87 may influence my opinion on that. You are going to live xx number of yrs. and you want to earn enough to provide you and yours a pleasant and comfortable life style. That doesn't mean you need to do something which makes you less than happy. In my opinion, it is actually O.K. to makes lots of money at something that is even exciting to you everyday and both financially and emotionally rewarding. So forget whether it's old or new. Discover what you can look forward to every day, find rewarding to you and that is of benefit to as many people as possible and go full blast for it! Best wishes to you and those you love.

Thank you Harold. My search is to be passionate in what I do on a daily basis in regards to work. I enjoy working and feeling as though I am giving back to my community through that. I have many years left in me as you point out and I wish to be doing what I enjoy for as much of that as possible. I will be digging a bit deeper in the coming days to be sure I am going down the right road.

I say you should absolutely do this!!! Something you're this excited about shouldn't be left untapped in my opinion. Though maybe you could look into what made you so tired in the first place to avoid it happening with the site as well (if you do do it :-))

I have several ideas running through my head also, but I am not a multitasker so I had to focus on just one or two things at a time. Good luck
