Buying Your Domain Name
Over the years, I have bought domain names from one of the most well-known domain registrars and on the whole I have not enjoyed the process. My biggest gripe is the relentless upsells that they throw at you as you try to purchase your domain.
What should be a simple exercise of selecting a domain name and then checking out becomes a torturous click through of offers for junk that you don’t want and don’t need before you actually get to pay for your purchase and leave.
So, I was really happy to see that in the training Kyle refers WA members to Namecheap. I've bought some domains from them recently and I really can't fault them. They sell well-priced domains for a wide variety of extensions (.com, .org, .net etc.) and the process of buying is simple and easy. Yes they do offer a limited number of other services but they don’t ram them down your throat as you make your purchase.
So if you are going to buy your own domain name (and if you are serious about doing business online you will need to), avoid the big name players and give Namecheap a try. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
