How I Prioritize: Daily

Since starting at WA almost a year ago, I've had some trouble setting priorities, and sticking to them. I am a wife, mother of 4, a daycare owner by day, and Home Stager on the weekends. So as you can see I am busy, and not everything goes as planned.

I am a person that believes everything should be in it's place, a perfectionist most of the time, and a control freak. Quite the combination, huh. Trying to balance it ALL was literally driving me CRAZY!

So how did I prioritize it all you say??? Well, I got a notebook, and every Sunday I would write down what I was to do for the entire next week. From what to clean that day, to what website page to promote, to scheduling daycare activities, planning meals, etc., even time for myself to read a book, and meditate for 30 minutes a day (ALWAY'S schedule time for yourself). Trust me it's the key to keeping your sanity. :)

On the weekends I would be a little more lenient on myself, and just let the day go without to much planning except for what absolutely needed to be done, like grocery shopping (yuck). After all we need a little break from time to time to just have a day to do nothing and/or have a little fun. You will definitely feel MORE energized when you do. So make this a priority also.

Let me tell you, even though some day's I don't get everything on my list done, I just add it to the next day. It has helped tremendously! I no longer stay awake at night wondering if I'm forgetting anything. I no longer stress If I don't accomplish everything for the week. Somehow it always gets done, AND it helps to get the family involved also with the cleaning as everyone in the household should contribute.
